BobFinn, In an interview yesterday, he pointed out that very weakness. He said that he is more of a defensive minded coach, and that he intended to hire a strong offensive coordinator to develop that part of the game. He also wants that individual (acutally, he said staff) to focus on a solid running game, which he feels compliments a good defense. The fact that he recognizes his shortcomings, and plans to hire the staff to make up those shortcomings, is very impressive. It sounds like Mr. McNair is putting together a top notch organization that we will be proud of. ------------------ Stay Cool...
Great to hear that dc. It sounds like he has learned from his past mistakes. There is little doubt he is a good coach, his Carolina teams just never put it together offensively. Can't wait to hear who they want for offensive coordinater. ------------------ When we tire of well-worn ways, we seek for new. The best plan is to take a great RB or QB with the number one pick, and then next year pick what you didn't take the year before. I hope he doesn't draft defense first unless we trade that pick. ------------------ humble, but hungry.
Remember that we also get to draft unprotected players from other teams also. There will be some good players that are left unprotected, and with us being the only team drafting these players, we could find a gem or 2. ------------------ When we tire of well-worn ways, we seek for new.
