Defense will keep them in the game though... its better than the situation in Minnesota, where they had no defense or shot-making.

I put it on JVG. Man, he has to figure out how to exploit our strength not expose weakness.

Suddenly hitting wide opens shots is our weakness?

This is EXACTLY what turned the season around.

I was about to say the same thing:confused:

Yao held his own and played GREAT against Shaq last year, and even the first game this year, but "abused him"? I wouldn't say so at all...

I've noticed a trend with all the Shaq vs Yao match ups in that Shaq usually plays a lot better in the 1st half while Yao plays better in the 2nd half-

I don't think it's a big deal that YAO is shooting jump shots. The more shots for him the better. He is an over 50% shooter for the season

Yes... we'll have to. But, we have to admit that while it may not be the most important part of our game (like Seattle's or Phoenix's), good 3-point shooting helps us win games.

I was mostly talking about Shaq's defense. Go back and watch last year... Shaq had no prayer against Yao one-on-one.

He's already had 3 good defensive possesions in the first half tonight against Yao, not letting him use the height advantage, and forcing him to the baseline.

They are not going to let T-Mac beat them now, they are completely cracking down on him, and leaving our shooters open. SOMBODY MAKE A FREAKIN SHOT!

IMHO. the only time Yao has owned Shaq was in the first 2-3 minutes of the first game they ever played against each other. Yao DOMINATED those first couple of minutes, but that was b/c Shaq had never played against anything like him.

I wish I could say otherwise, but since then Yao has had good games as well as bad, but nothing even close to dominating.
