    I know this is off topic, but I just had to include a quote from Jack Ramsay from a Heat game a couple weeks ago. I think it was against the Spurs. So Rasho Nesterovic takes a hook shot from about 6 feet and airballs it long. Says Dr. Jack:

    "He just threw a 6 foot hooker 7 feet."

    The play by play man was silent for about 20 seconds, after letting out a choking sound. I was repeating it on TiVo 6 or 7 times. Greatest commentating in the history of televised basketball. Van Chancellor has nothing on Dr. Jack.

    Something that I thought was funny was when a referee made a bad call and Bill Worrell was pissed and talking pretty bad about the ref. Then Van starts trying to take up for the ref and explain why it was a good call. Then the instant replay starts and it's obvious that it was indeed a horrible call. So right in the middle of the replay and trying to explain why the ref made the call Van stops and says "Nevuhmind Beeel I caiyn't even defeynd dat - that wuz jyust uh tyeerrible call"

    Hilarious, hysterical, amusing, wonderful!!!! Are we seeing a turning point in the history of sports broadcasting? No body can deny that we have just witnessed the best commentating since the beginning of existence of the North Hemisphere. I am privileged to live in a day remarks like this being put out. What could be better? This, my friend, is a wonderful world.

    Oh man,this thread is killing me.Ya know,she was just a little bit on the hefer side and gussied up because she was going out.The Texas Big Hair and the heavy rouge were in full force.
    It was a bizarre exchange though,at first I thought Beeeell's comment kind of odd,but Van didn't miss a beat.
    For me it was one of those"did that really happen"moments...Classic Houston coverage..LOL
