I think Dallas is underrated especially due to all their injuries. When they get M.Daniels, Dampier, and Stack back, they will then really be at full strength, and that can be a little frightning. Say what you will about Dallas' lack of defense, but Josh Howard and M. Daniels are above average defenders, and Dampier does a good job filling out their middle.

I agree.. Mavs have really brought in some young guys that enjoy playing defense.. JHoward/ Daniels especially.

Watching these teams play was like watching the Rookie / Soph game No Defense it was embarrasing.

The hell with all this Steve Nash hoopla. They're better off without him!

The reason they've always been a regular season team that chokes in the playoffs is their lack of perimeter defense mainly due to Nash and their lack of a true center. They've replaced Nash with athletic scorers that are getting the job done on both ends of the floor and Dampier is doing great down low.

This is a dangerous team. Maybe even more dangerous than the team that was an NBA Finals team if it wasn't for a Steve Kerr miracle. If I was a Mavericks fan, I would be smiling right now.
