The Fockers have had problems with prank callers before, most notably a run of calls in 2000, but Geoff remains puzzled by the latest surge of callers. “We now seem to be getting harassing phone calls at all hours of the night and day,” Geoff said. “On one night last week, we had 10 calls just during dinner and when we’d answer these squeeky teenage-boy voices would just shout ‘Focker!’ and then they’d hang up. “We’ve always got a handful of prank calls, like maybe one a month, but I just figured everybody gets that many. But over the past few weeks, they’ve increased from a smattering of calls to a whole slew. “I don’t know if it’s the same person all the time or not but they do have that pattern of almost always shouting out our name and then hanging up in our ear. I just don’t get it. Why would anyone get any amusement out of that. It’s just our name.” A few of the callers took a slightly different tack. One said, ‘I don’t like what I’m seeing of you Fockers’ and another, ‘I’m going to get you Fockers’. “My brother says he’s been getting the same thing,” Geoff said, adding that he could not understand why his family was being singled out for such attention. The only inkling of a motive he can come up with is that he works as a local parking meter attendant. “The kids have always copped a bit of extra teasing at school but I’ve always just put that down to the fact that I’m in a profession which is not that popular around town. We have to accept that we’ll get a bit of extra attention just because of that. “But I’ve always taught my kids to just turn the other cheek. Us parking attendants aren’t so bad and so I just tell the kids, you give people time and a chance to meet the Fockers and once they get to know us, people take a shine to us pretty darn quickly. “Us Fockers, we stick together.”

Let me help get the ball rolling... I started reading this thread and said WTF(ock). Those Fockers are absolutely clueless. Too bad old Mother Focker isn't alive to witness this calamity. She'd swear it was some stupid Focker who was playing jokes on the family. And then she'd call all the family together to address the situation..."All you Fockers, listen to me. I am Mother Focker and I'm not going to put up with these prank phone calls" All the while, the pranksters are thinking..."those dumb Fockers...they have no clue who is calling them".
