I'm coming home for Christmas! My first time back in a year and a half. I get to spend the Holidays with my family again. My flight leaves here (Buffalo) at 9:31 this morning, and I should be in Houston(pending no delays) at 2:18. I'm so stoked. Magnolia here I come!

Moral of the story: Cherish every Holiday spent with your family, no matter how great or how bad you think it is.

I'm in Michigan for a week. I may be here longer if I can't thaw my arse cheeks off of the couch. Being in Michigan makes you wonder questions such as:

How can their really be zero degrees outside? Kinda makes you wish we were on the Kelvin scale. :D

Honestly, I love Houston. I love Houston. I love Houston and I can't wait to get back.

Although, I can finally say I've seen snow.

Yeah. It's currently 0 here, too. The low for the night is -2. I can't wait to hit that 70 degree weather. It's supposed to be about 13 degrees and snowy at flight time tommorow. Hopefully no delays.

Exactly - try to spend as much time as you can with your family. I'm leaving Wednesday and coming back Sunday. (because of Ferdinand's job... didn't want to leave him alone on a holiday) We were lucky to get the time off we did; for a while we thought we weren't going to be able to go anywhere. I chose to fly into and out of a town where we have relatives. We'll even get to have Christmas dinner at my aunt's house. It has been making me sick how little time I've spent with my extended family. Also, sometimes you lose family members and realize you need to make the most of your time with the ones you have. Time goes by all too fast.

We'll probably see my mom again later during the break (I'm in academia; the break extends well into January). Not sure exactly where we'll be or what we'll do. Depends on everyone's work schedule...

Been in Chicago with the family for around 24 hours now. The only thing missing is my fiancee who's flying in on Wednesday and my sister, brother in-law and niece from California who are staying there since my sister's 7 months pregnant!!!

I came back to Houston on Friday (the 17th) but now I'm back in Austin.

I plan to go back (again) to Houston on Thursday, but it might be sooner if I get bad news about my sister...

Yeah, NOW it is, I guess. My sister left my parents house Saturday morning and didn't come back or call or return my mom's calls to her friends.... So this isn't untypical of a 16 year old, but my sister usually returns the next day, which she didn't this time... So my parents filed a missing persons report this morning.

The cops finally found her a little bit ago - she was at her stupid friends' house and just blatantly ignored my mom's calls. It's highly irritating, but at least I won't be attending a funeral for christmas.

    So thursday it is...
