Time to roll to a National Title... That tough stretch served it's purpose. This team's young and was always going to be best at the end. Having some awful home cooking once again against Iowa St (like the Tech game)did a number on these kid's heads temporarily, but helped as far as the bigger picture. KS didn't have any margin for error in there either. Kingston is the man, a top five pick. Now, Cenac has been starting to play into that pedigree. He's certainly a top 10 pick. While I'm not thrilled about our bench, we are absolutely primed. Looking for a big game from these guys against Arizona too..
Surely the players weren't told to save an extra "gear" for the tournament, or were they? They didn't look good against BYU, but they looked "different" against Kansas. Actually, they looked better than they have for some time. I am confused.
Cenac had 17 points and 14 rebounds. He should have 10+ rebounds every game. He’s listed as 6’11’ but when he’s in the post, he looks much bigger than the opponents’ bigs. He also has those Andre the Giant hands. He could dominate every game, at least with rebounds and defense, if he’s aggressive. Winning three games in three days is difficult, beating Arizona in two conference championship games in a row is difficult, so I think a win today is a cherry. This Kansas win should be good for their confidence. They looked like a national title contender last night.
arizona just has more talent and size. maybe they can find a way just like that duke game but there is a bit of a gap early.
