can people stop saying Reed won’t develop by “riding the bench”. This simply is a false statement. He gets about 25 minutes a game. He went 2-10 FG last game. He has shot .180 last 8 games. 35% overall FG% last 15 games. When will we say he hasn’t played well or admit he just isn’t that good right now. Doesn’t mean he can’t or won’t grow. Just means in his second year as we speak he just isn’t that good of an NBA player. He won’t magically shoot 50% and .400 from 3 Just by playing 5 more minutes a game. Now onto Amen. The man can’t finish. How many times have we seen him blow a layup after a steal or drive? How many missed lob dunks? And he can’t shoot more than 10 ft always opting for a dribble handoff when he’s out of this range and the paint is stacked. It’s beyond frustrating. Trade both of them. It simply isn’t working.
I’m afraid it’s gonna be the latter. It should have been happening this season, and with Fred’s injury, instead of trying to regroup our roster, Stone basically decided to wait for next season.
Just a regular bump. Ime has already given up as well. First it was Stone now Ime appears to have given up as well
I’ve gone from being the most excited I’ve been about the rockets in like 7-8yrs at the start of the season, to literally fearing watching a Rockets game because it frustrates me almost as much as watching the news. I stopped watching the news.
We had so much promise when we started the rebuild. What a waste of rebuilding years. I feel like it was too rushed and we just didn't have the right scouts to actually draft well. Also the front office is so afraid to take risks to actually move up the draft
They felt Durant would be a band aid to a *** draft. Just think they had all them first and couldn't find a true franchise player.
Volume 2: This time it's actually the end. Bootstrapped with bad contracts, no chance for a generational pick, Durant almost out of warranty, Sengun capped with his potential, Ime not going anywhere, Stone potentially left with a war chest of worthless picks once the NBA adjusts their tanking policies
Don't think this team is DONE but we sure don't have the high-end upside of some of our competitors. Unless a miracle happens and Reed becomes a STAR or Amen develops a shot...I don't see a championship in our near future. Do I believe in miracles? Dunno
This team is unbearable to watch. At least last year we had lock down defense, attitude, and we had scorers. Everything is a hand off or dump down to Sengun and KD. I do think Thompson needs to stop playing sheepish and take it to the paint and be more aggressive. Nontheless this team just isn’t working
To be embarassed like this against the Spurs. I always use matchups against San Antonio as the barometer on how this team is going to do (i just hate the Spurs)
