If he has a great game against SA it will be a really big step up for Reed. I think even Ime would recognize he needs to be starting. This is an especially hard match up with all the SA guards. This SA team is really really good. They may win it all. Wemby may wimp out in the playoffs, but they are an extremely deep team and made for the half court.
If everyone is available I think Ime probably goes back to Amen, Tari, Durant, Jabari and Sengun for this one. He might cynically start Reed just to shut people up. This is a bad matchup for Reed and Reed is coming off of a less than stellar shooting game. I think we get trounced in this one, if SA has their full contingent.
San Antonio is going to not guard Amen outside the paint just like last time. Sengun will be neutralized because of the clogged paint. Let’s see how Ime adjusts
It's a match up where Reed will be super important since the Spurs will sit back and laugh at Amen more so than other teams, the Rockets will need Reed out there to provide the team with spacing and someone competent to initiate the offense.
It is good to see everyone on board now - anyone that knows development could see where this was headed, we could have been here, a year ago, but we wasted his rookie year. He is not even a finished product, he is only going to keep getting better......and now people see how Reed is the key to the Rockets future, it is glorious. DD
Just facts at this point, he's fallen off a cliff and his body language is awful. Reed does way more for the team, and now Tari's not shooting like the best in the league Reed makes up for that shortfall.
Let’s see. Shep was a +8 in a 11 point loss, +15 in a 5 point win, and -16 in a 12 point loss. Spurs have had all their players each time we played. Remind me why this is a bad matchup for Reed?

reed already beat the warriors once in san fran WITHOUT Kevin Dickerson. He almost did it again but sengun and jabari were no help. i need isaiah reed sheppard to be the thorn against the warriors for years to come. give him a big man who knows how to set screen and catch passes then let him go to work.
Only if Ime will let them. Durant and Sengun should be initiating plays almost zero percent of the time.
