It's a vastly more complex than that. The AI learns techniques not that different than we do. The myth the tech is some sort of copy machine is ridiculous. It is not stealing content from authors unless you actually create content that could be mistaken for content from those authors. In the case of James Harden producing videos of HIMSELF I think its fair to say he owns the rights to his own likeness so it can't be considered ill gotten in any universe.

I think maybe a lot of people don't realize the astounding promise of this tech and focus on paying movie studios millions of dollars allowing them to force you to watch things you often don't like or enjoy. They have a monopoly. You really think we will EVER see a good ending to GOT Season 8? A movie about the adventures of your family? Cannot think of anything I want to watch less than some slopass ripoff of Pixar stuff. In a universe where anyone can come up with a schlocky ai spam version of their life story by typing a few sentences - why would I ever watch anyone's? I'll watch human stories made by humans even if they look identical to the **** versions, because - humans made them. Anybody can generate Ai video, like anybody can create a fake Prada or Gucci Logo and put it on a bag, but Im still gonna pay to watch the real one
