pilfering the Bills o-line is wise. That o-line has been really good for a while, especially in the run game. James Cook is a really good rb, but that o-line is why he led the league in rushing.

Connor is guy I really want and hope we get. Stabilizes middle of our line and dude is big. I think we can offer him a 4yr contract at around $60M--my guess.

    https://www.nfl.com/news/ten-nfl-fr...prisingly-big-contracts-during-2026-offseason

[Bills G David Edwards & Texans G Ed Ingram] “Both players are expected to command eight figures -- and potentially get close to $15 million a year.”

[Packers OT Rasheed Walker] “Few seventh-round picks have made a bigger impact at a core position than Walker, who took over the Packers’ left tackle job in his second season (2023) and has started 48 of 52 career games. According to Next Gen Stats, Walker has allowed 19.5 sacks since becoming Jordan Love's blind-side protector, which is tied for 12th-most among offensive tackles in that span. But young LTs with this many starts almost never hit the market. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Walker command $20 million or more per year.”

Personally, I am not giving Ingram $15M per year when his only "good" performance was in a contract year

Also, I saw 1 pancake IIRC from him and many other teams I just saw pressure from the interior (not sure who was to blame.. .but there seemed to be a lot up the middle)

Kyler Murray is not a better QB than CJ Stroud, and, as shotgun-first (only) QB, a terrible fit. You thought Stroud wasn't good last year? Murray has bettered Stroud's '25 QB rating (92.9) once in the past four seasons. He'll also turn 29 before the start of the 2026 season. And that's important because he's missed 30 games the past five seasons. He's hurt *all the time*. And not getting younger.

It would be moronic to swap Stroud for Murray.

    - Denico Autry wasn’t happy with his role last year and won’t be back.
    - Thinks there is a “good chance” Trent Brown is back and they could let Brown/Rookie/Fisher compete for the other tackle spot.

I seriously doubt this will happen, but if they want a trenches draft, I hope we spring for a 1A WR in FA.

He will likely command too much, but a guy like Alec Pierce would be a perfect complement to the room. Imagine the room they were trying to create when they brought in Diggs. It adds protection if Dell is a shell of himself and when Nico inevitably gets hurt. Picture the room - Nico, Pierce, Higgins, Noel, Hutch, Dell.

Grab two FA OL, at least, and now we’re talking flexibility. You could then go OL or DL in the first, but it anchors more of your draft focus to OL/DL/LB. Montgomery was a good add but I’d argue we’re at least another weapon away. Obviously have to shore the line up too, but we need more weapons too

Four interceptions in the first half of our most important game in years. We can't win big with Stroud. Status quo for 2026 is unacceptable.

    GOOD DAY

    Super unlikely that happens.
Why would the 49ers head into a season with one more good year of Purdy and McC, with returning defensive stars, and decide, "nah, we'll just let our protection for the blind side of our quarterback walk out the door." Just hard to imagine that happening, b/c they don't have anyone to inherit that spot on the line.

calling it. this is the guy that BDN will draft on day one. Rationalizing as "the way you get the guys you want is that you pick them before anybody else does (or would!). Being a Texans fan can be such a swift kick in the blueberries.

edit: having thought twice, we'll trade back from the 28, picking up an extra fourth - and draft this guy with our received #34. Being a Texans fan can be such a swift kick in the blueberries.

He doesn't excite me if he has been injury prone the past two years. He wasn't that great last year, and he's 31.

Last year's numbers were mediocre, with the exception of QB hits.
    • 765 snaps at guard (41st/81)
    • 4 penalties (45th/81)
    • 3 sacks allowed (48th/81)
    • 1 QB hit allowed (9th/81)
    • 24 pressures allowed (39th/81)
