Can we please sign a running back that hasn't had a catastrophic leg injury?

More of a running back by committee approach upgrade from Nick Chubb by far

Gibbs clearly surpassed him last year when he became Detroit’s every down back. But between ‘23 & ‘24, Montgomery out-touched Gibbs inside the 20, and scored 23 TDs.

Red zone scoring was a PROBLEM for the Texans last year. So while I certainly hope DM isn’t all they do at RB, he at least addresses a big need. This move also means Mixon is almost certainly done here; no surprise.

Trading for a 29 year old RB.... that's smart.

Not sure why we are giving up a 4th round pick for a guy who will be 29 next season making $8.5 mil, when there are a ton of good RBs on the market, but par for the course with Casario. 4th round picks are valuable. Why give them up for a 1-2yr rental? He keeps giving up picks for short term rentals. That 2nd rounder we gave up for 1yr of Diggs was criminal for example.

    A 4th and a 7th, plus Scruggs, feels like overpaying for a 28 y/o RB.

Trading a starting caliber OL, given our OL weakness, for a 5th, is underwhelming.

Not saying I wouldn't have done the moves, I get the desperate need for RB and the finanical situation with Howard, but Caserio is definitely not "cookin" with these moves.

If he doesn't get the o-line turned around this season, he should be done.

Not an RB1 at this stage of his career. A good player, but the Texans are still missing a bell cow back.

He's a worse RB than Devon Achane by a decent amount. Achane is a hometown kid too (Missouri City) and up for grabs. I'm bummed we're out of the running for him now.

I would’ve preferred Bijon Robinson but you know beggars can’t be choosers.

If he pushed his way out after "only" getting 150 carries, he might be expecting 200 carries. Basically the feature back.

He does help nice in the red zone, was certainly a problem last season. Though how much of that issue was bad running blocking & bad play calling than the RB's fault

Maybe I'm having reservations after the trades for "good players" Mixon, Diggs, & Kirk. Can't help injuries but those guys didnt stay healthy for the longer term

Nick dumps another of his high pick OL busts. Hopefully this works out better than the Kenyon Green trade.

It’s clear they are going with the multiple back philosophy which is fine bell cow is fine but if he gets hurt you are cooked. Still would draft someone in the later rounds too
