How about Taylor Jenkins as HC and Cassell as his top assistant?

Not true…..two safest jobs in Houston are Udoka and Stone. Tilman doesn’t give a $&@“ about this team. Hasn’t even made a trade deadline move in years. Him and his lawyer Stone raking over the fans while he focuses on his more important restaurant and casino franchises. Les should have sold to Mattress Mack who actually cared about the success of this organization.

The thing about Ime is that you know going into any given game, there's no chance of the Rockets outcoaching the other team no matter who they are.

I find it hard to believe ANY team can be a championship contender in a situation like that.

So really the question will be, will we eat his absurd contract and try to find someone better, or will the Rockets waste the next several years not contending? It's one of the two.

Still having nightmares about the Capela, Amen, DFS, Okogie and I can’t remember the last guy but it was a non-shooter. Then I believe Holiday came in. But that was a 6-point swing and just terrible judgement. That could have been the margin of the game if we didn’t break down so bad in the 4th.

Agree, we didn’t give ourselves a chance by practically ending the game with that horrific lineup. Used to be a Udoka fan, but he is just too dumb to take us where we need to go. Always wasting his challenge in the first quarter and working with Stone to make no improvements and lastly acquiring and playing DFS TOO MANY CRITICAL MINUTES. Am I the only one who sees something is wrong with DFS. Doesn’t even do anything productive on offense or defense where he gets burned by slow white players continuously (or fouls) and doesn’t even look at the basket or go towards it on offense. Worst Rockets player ever (sorry Walt Williams) and we have him for three years at $53 million. That in and of itself should lead to the firing of Udoka and Stone 10 minutes after the first round loss.

if I hadda choose between ciao’ing Ime or Stone I know I’d rock with Stone a go go. The FO doing nada to shore up an imbalanced roster and providing PG leadership has limited TheGoodGuys exponentially.

    Send him home to Portland
    Send him to Sacramento
    Send him to New Orleans
    Send him to Golden State
Send him back to San Antonio
    Send him to the WNBA
Send him to the Big 3 League
    Send him to college
    Send him to Cancun
    Send him to Horny Jail
Send him on the first flight out of Houston

Should’ve let him go to the Knicks last year and could’ve got some compensation.

I ain’t really high on this “core” but I fire the coach before the coach trades everyone else. Jalen gone, Cam gone, Jabari or Sengun or Reed could be next, Tari a FA,…

    If not, this.

We’re firing all your Portland/San Antonio home boys and you will have a new coaching staff.
Fred VanVleet & Steven Adams & DFS will be traded. (Maybe even Durant!)

    Well, Well, Well.

I guess blaming everything on Jalen Green doesn't work anymore.

I really had a strong feeling the Rockets will be worse this year. I was right. I stopped watching Rockets games because the Offense Ime Udoka can't run or doesn't have any IQ how to draw up plays.

Jalen Green still sucks ass, actually.

The Rockets aren't worse this year.

And you should close your mouth after admitting you don't watch games.

I'm in the minority I'm sure but I'll say not yet. Dude turned this ball club around in a single season, and not into just a fringe 8/9th seed, but a 2nd seed. Now, here we are at the 3rd seed. The grass isn't always greener on the other side, and people seem to expect the next head coach is going to always be better.

I'm not saying he doesn't need to make adjustments, he certainly needs to hand over the reigns to an offensive coach that knows how to draw up plays for his players. The players love playing for this guy, and you can't say that about every coach. If Ime refuses to give some freedom to an offensive coach, after a few years then yeah you can think about it. But he needs to be given the chance seeing this turn around we've had.

I typed in blaming everything on Jalen Green Narrative by local media and fans was really shameful to watch.

The team is worse because Ime Udoka revealed himself as a terrible Coach that doesn't know how to draw up plays and overpaid for the real Coach Fred VanVleet.

I was a no until recently but it's pretty clear, he's a one trick pony best suited for a defensive specialist coaching position. He just has no offensive chops.

Refuses to play Reed when it's clear he opens up the floor for everyone.

Forces the Durant ISO or Sengun ISO plays from the 3 point line instead of getting guys the ball in their preferred spots.

Playing a guy shooting 37% from 3-24 feet the most minutes in the NBA.

Watching Amen bring the ball up spending the first 6-8 second looking for a lane then spending the next chunk of clock getting the ball to Durant or Sengun who now have to initiate the offense with 12 second on the 24 second clock, half the time they are double teamed in the process .... sucks. Yeah, it looks great when Amen gets to the rim but otherwise a drag. Everything needs to happen faster.

    No more excuses.

The same logic concludes that FVV is a great player because we were a second seed in a brutal Western conference last season with him playing the most minutes.

Great is a stretch, but FVV has 9 years of data suggesting he has impacted the game much more than his ppg and TS% suggest. It isn't like he had just one year in which his team performed much better with him in the game.
