Reed went ice cold 2nd half. Tough to watch. Tari and KD were the only guys doing anything offensively. Amen seems worse with layups this year. So that's.... 3PT, mid range, AND layups. And those FTs better not be crutch time.
Keeping Stone and expecting drastic changes is insane. Shooting is at a premium nowadays, look at who Stone has brought in: Adams Capela Sengun Thompson DFS Absolute insanity how much of our salary cap is tied up in guys that can’t consistently hit open jumpers.
That narrative is tired and wrong. He took that team to the finals in his FIRST AND ONLY year as the head coach and fell two wins short. The team that won under Mazulla had multiple players that can shoot. We don't have that which is why the offense looks bad. You'd be hard pressed to find a better coach. If Stone gave him better offensive players I may agree but there aren't any franchise cornerstones among the young core that Stone drafted.
He's on the short list for sure. Miami has long seemed to have no name guys that just flourish. Their team may be a litttle underpowered but are always playing smart, playing together.
I don’t agree. He got rid of Green. He didn’t extend Tari, I think he just operates with a little more patience than the fans do. I expect him to make changes if we flame out in the playoffs.
I want all of them gone but I don’t want Stone and Ime to facilitate the transaction, I don’t trust them
I don't like Stone because he sold Fertitta on a tank. The point of all that losing was to emerge with 1 or 2 players that would be our star foundational pieces going forward. He didn't manage to do that and wasted a ton of draft capital in the process.
JVG ran a much better offense than Ime and that extension is the WORST coach contract in franchise history. Moving on.
