All three....look it up Zubac was ineffective and traded by the Lakers Bilkups was traded several times before he arrived at Detriot And Butler sat on the bench for nearly 3yrs
.... because he was actually a benefit to the team. Jalen torpedoed any shot we had at advancing by actually playing.
I don't think we would have won a ring if Fred was healthy, and Dillon was a necessary part of the trade I guess. I do think we would have been a better team with FVV though and had a better chance of advancing out of the first round
Phoenix couldn't have had a worse end to last season. Bad vibes, coach fired, KD demanded a trade out, no free agent signings, and no lotto picks for the foreseeable future. They were expected to be the worst team in the league this season. They had zero momentum or reason for optimism. Green's been injured all year and Booker has missed a quarter of the games. Despite all of that they're solidly in the playoff mix. This season is a success for them no matter what happens in the last 20 games.
Danuel House, Jalen Green wasn't mad at him, just disappointed that Rafael Stone didn't give him the number right away. Very weird that he didn't get the number right away as the #2 Pick over a journeyman House who changes to multiple numbers.
This. Their fanbase is much more happier this year than our fanbase. They’re not down on Green. He hit a game winner for them at the buzzer jsut last week. They understand his season. He was coming off the bench until just recently. Their issue is their front court. They drafted a big that they’re developing slowly.
The Rockets were not willing to push in chips to replace FVV, the chips to actually make the Rockets contenders, and the chips to cover outbound salaries. If FVV was healthy, they could have used the chips to replace FVV on the player needed to actually make the Rockets contenders.
Is it a success though? I don't know if it's success long term to be a solidly middle of the pack team relying on Dillon Brooks, Royce O'Neale, and Grayson Allen for nearly 50pts a night. Don't get me wrong - all those guys are great role players and Dillon Brooks will forever be one of my faves....but your ceiling as a team is only going as far as Booker and Green take them.
Relative to expectations I don't see how this season can be seen as anything but a success for them. They have a winning record, are a near lock for the play in tourney at least, and the players are happy. They couldn't even tank if they had wanted to, so competing for a playoff spot is way better than giving a top 5 pick to the Wizards or Memphis. Success is different for each team. If OKC got bounced in the 2nd round this season would be seen as a failure. If Phoenix somehow even got to the 2nd round it would feel like winning a championship to their fans. The long-term outlook is a separate issue. I don't see them as a contender in the near future, but I didn't foresee them winning and having a top ten defense this year either. I thought their misery last year was sure to continue for a few more seasons, but clearly each season is a separate story.
Hahahah it's hilarious being right. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. It's even funnier knowing people were paid millions of dollars to do their job and still took 4 years to realise what some of us knew before game 1 in his NBA career. It's even funnier how stupid his ride or die fans are and how in year 5 they're still defending how he's not improved from his rookie year. Er Ma GAWD he can jump high!!!!!
Looks like Grayson Allen and Collin Gillespie is carrying the Suns offense with Booker and Brooks out.
They finally begin to understand lol I don't think Jalen is this bad though, I'm sure he's still recovering. He'll have some good stretches for them in the future. His most likely future is still as a bench player though.
Beal was huge cancer last year. J.Green, we’ll have to see, but I can see a world where he is a neutral to a slight positive, as an off-the-bench rotation guard, splitting time with Grayson Allen, Gillespie, Goodwin and Burrea (I may have some of these names wrong, I’ll admit)
I feel bad for Jalen, not because he's a good bball player but because he seems like a nice guy. It's unfair his delusional fans hyped him up as the next MJ/Kobe when he is just not great after 5 years in the league, and criminal how they hounded Sengun because they were insecure. Jalen will give you amazing performances 20% of the time, then disappoint you 80% of the time.
