Maybe if we give them another tax cut they'll keep the jobs

The single biggest scam sold to the American public has been trickle down economics ND this idea that if you give rich folks enough tax cuts theyll pass it along. Republicans are traitors to the middle class

You know who should also lose their job at Block? The guy who renamed it Block from Square (as in block chain ) and who spent the last year pivoting the company to an ill fated bet on Bitcoin right before it collapsed

Oh wait that's right it's Jack Dorsey, another shady billionaire who as a founder will never have to deal with consequences, guess he's keeping his job. Maybe he should get a pedo island too

Today, "AI" is NOT anywhere near that productive, so I call BS. There are really only a few explanations here: 1) The company is in trouble and AI is a convenient excuse for mass layoffs. 2) The company was mismanaged from the start and overhired. Or both.

That said, AI and automation will eventually do to high-paying jobs like programming what offshoring did to low-wage labor, displacing workers at scale with little protection for those left behind.

And given that this administration prioritizes the billionaire class over working people, the rest of us should have no illusions about who will be protected when that shift hits.

AI is simply a better copy and paste toolset. I still haven't seen evidence that it can solve complex problems.

I've tried several platforms that profess to be able to build an entire application from the bottom up. They suffer from typical AI issues and don't iterate well. I'll take a seasoned dev I can talk to any day. I don't care if that dev uses AI as a tool to expedite their coding, they're still relying on their own experience, creativity and intuition to solve problems, something that AI has never done.

The real secret to leveraging AI is a smart, creative human creating the proper prompts.

Freedom to become a Billionaire . .. . .aka Freedom to win the Lottery
    and
Freedom to die from starvation . . . .aka losing the lottery

Just like the real lottery . . . .regardless of your actions . . .the latter is far far far far far more likely than the former
The freedom to die .. . .freedom to be a slave . . .is just so . . .odd

You are correct - It Has never done that but that does not mean it will never do that
This time last year i think we were laughing at the fact they were messing up hands
and could not really do letters

    No longer an issue not

Someone say the innovation use to be like every 72 hours something
new was happening. . . now its down to 48

You do not understand, amigo. If a person gives 100% of their earnings to another person or entity, then that person is a slave. They keep nothing for themselves. They have no economic freedom. If the government keeps half of my income, then I'm 50% a slave. If the government keeps none of my income, then I am 0% in slavery. Republicans want Americans to keep MORE of their income -- as they desire to reduce taxes for all... and in fact that's what they've done. Furthermore, Republicans freed the African slaves in America -- lest we forget that valuable history lesson.

    GOOD DAY

Man, if only this were still true. I could go back to being a Republican like I was before. Before the dark times... before the party was dumbed down by Palin, the "tea party" and now Trump. Especially Trump.

If you are only given just enough to survive. . . .whether it is given in the form of money/allowance
or shackles food and housing .. . .it is slavery just the same

Chattel slavery just cut out the middle man and complication of
    running payroll . ..

Runaway slave or blackballed employee . . .same thing . .esp in certain industries
    Opportunities were rarely equal
The Rich have always had an advantage a step up
Now . .. they are codefying into law
    through various mechanism

the truth is, a lot of people in this country will accept being broke and living paycheck to paycheck as long as those they hate or view as less than are doing worse…their win isn’t seeing themselves do better, it’s seeing others do worse

    so fck em

The sad fact of the matter is that we're $38 TRILLION in debt yet our standards of living are much worse than before we accumulated the debt. The Washington Establishment has been stealing our money for decades. Whenever a conservative complains about all of this the left has a meltdown and sings the praises of their Washington masters.

Hoarding ,whether old newspapers, magazines, clothes old shipping boxes etc. is a psychiatric illness typically classified under anxiety disorders. Similarly with hoarding money, even if instead of millions of dollars stacked to the ceilings without walkways in the billionaire's house the money is digital.

Relieve the billionaires of their excess money so they can get help.

Of course money hoarding by billionaires is incompatible with democracy, but who gives hsit about that old idea. As the MAGA Republicans say: "We are a republic not a democracy." Besides we are richer than Bangladesh and more democratic than Iran so quit whining..
