Why is Trump covering up the Epstein files while protecting pedophiles?

You know what would be better than suicide? Confessing and cooperating. Given how big the network supposedly is, I'm a little dismayed that no one has felt a pang of conscience and just come forward to confess. The costs to do so are high. But, people are known to do it, even confessing to murder for the sake of their conscience. Does none of them reflect on their actions and think they have to make things right?

 

The darkest guess is that their families are threatened, maybe economically, maybe physically. Still, I think some will start talking eventually. If blackmail is still occurring, once one or two people name it and face it down, it makes it easier for others to follow.

 

Maybe the internet and modern life are pushing more and more humans to end up with lizard brain. "Should I eat it, **** it, or run from it?" Some of these people were firmly on option #2 and are switching into option #3, including suicide.

 

Well Trump could try that too - but he won't because he has never been held accountable and probably thinks he can get out of this too, he can't.

The world wants and needs it's pound of flesh.

Good point, but Trump would never show, even if subpoenaed by a Democrat house. He'd assert some separation of powers b.s. defense. His DOJ would not find him in contempt (unlike Bannon during the prior administration), and the US Supreme Court would give him a pass.

The FBI document also mentioned Paolo Zampolli, Melania's former modeling agent, writing that he "was trying to buy Elite Models with EPSTEIN" before the introduction reportedly took place.

The White House has previously warned that the Epstein files "may contain untrue information," and Melania has fought legal battles over claims linking her to Epstein's social circle.

Last year, she threatened to sue biographer Michael Wolff for $1 billion after he said she was "very involved" in Epstein's network.

 

The DOJ did not redact PII, including some names, of cooperating witnesses who were neighboring jail inmates of Epstein's at the time of his death. Seven names were released with the files. When informed, the DOJ did not redact or remove the files. So, the question arises: Mere oversight that is to be expected when dealing with millions of documents or a threat to potential (and future) witnesses?
