I don't think he's the franchise player but he needs to start at this point. I'm not going to be gaslit into believing that a no-jumper, no-handle Amen is somehow a better fit for us.
Reed should start, the spacing he provides has been immense. But it shouldn’t mean Amen has to be benched. Amen needs to return to his dunker spot role playing PF on offense and SG on defense, while Jabari can play PF on defense and SG on offense. Amen was a monster last year at PF, there should be no reason for Amen to be out on the perimeter where he’s no threat.
Just stay aggressive. He shouldn’t fear going in the lane. I think he still has so much untapped potential. Once he learns to create contact and get to the line, he will be unstoppable. It’s all there. He just has to stay aggressive. No need to defer to others.
Jalen Green a cool 20/70 from the field his last 4 games. 5 3s made. 30 attempted. Reed 24/46. 19 3s made. 36 attempted.
I hated Reed in the beginning of the season. I really thought he was a bust going into the season. And this comes from someone who thought he was going to be a superstar as he looked like Nash and Curry in his rookie summer league. I was so disappointed in his time throughtout his rookie season because he was getting beat and destroyed by everyone and was not shooting confident. Going into to the season I was not feeling great but hoping. He played almost the same and I told my buddy that I would give him until Christmas and I would write him off. I didn't have that much different feelings until the lost against Denver 11/21. He had 27 and played with heart. Have been apologizing since. And now I'm on the other side made at Ime for not getting his head out of his ass and Puting Reed in the starting position and replace Tari with Amen. Tari is Manu Ginobili to me. Always has been. I don't care he if he is starting. He should be the heart of the team.
Not yet (I want him to start too), but Ime will play him 30+ minutes first, to make sure its not a fluke
