I don't usually put much stock in postgame interviews, but this one is interesting. It seems to confirm what we've seen on the court: There's been a lack of chemistry between these two, particularly on Alpi's side. He's been slow to get comfortable with using and relying on Reed. I don't think Reed has shown any reluctance to pass to Alpi or to adjust to facilitate Alpi's game. I can't say the same in reverse. If Alpi's starting to get more comfortable with the relationship, that's great. I thought maybe we saw some of that tonight. We'll need a lot more of it.
I got that exact sentiment too. Weird considering they should be able to practice together. Maybe Reed is always running with the second team.
If what Alpi said was true, then they need to play more, not less, together. Reed needs to play more with the starters.
Ahhh…the ol’ “Alpi’s gonna look to kick it out to Reed” switcherooo!! I see you working’, you big lovable Turk!!
I've been an Ime defender until the last month or so, but it's reached indefensible levels. Reed certainly creates some defensive issues in matchups, but its abundantly clear that KD and the bricklayers is not a good enough offense this season. It's gotten worse since we don't have Adam's creating extra possessions to compensate for the inefficient offense When you know something isn't good enough you have to try something else. It's just stubbornness at this point, you have to take the warts for the upside.
Scary what he'll become after one more summer of adding muscle and working on the handle. It's going to be a rude awakening for FVV fans - all 2 of them.
Reed should stay in the starting lineup with either Tari or Amen coming off the bench. Alpi and Reed need to be on the floor together. If Ime can't see that then he needs to go.
Can’t help but think the games we would’ve won this season if Ime would play Reed in the 4th. We would have the 2nd on lock
