The Rodeo brings in just as much (~$700M) annual revenue to the area as the Texans do.

All of the involved parties need to play nice together and figure it out.

    100%

Let's upgrade the stadium and convention cebter and build a new arena to replace the very outdated Astro/NRG Arena and then utilize the area where the practice bubble is at to actually have something to go to after the game

What leverage do they have? What other nearby county has $$ to gift them, and would the league let them leave the Houston area entirely?

Bridgeland was already building a town center development in this location. So, there was already going to be a lot of mixed use stuff going into that area. Now, the Texans are being included to it. I guess the Texans are just getting a piece of the Bridgeland pie at a really good price.

I’m not sure how this is going to benefit Texans fans. They aren’t going to have practice sessions open to the public other than a few during training camp. I suppose the facilities can be used for other functions occasionally.

It just seems like the Texans are being included in a real estate deal where the tax payers will get to pay for much of the development, but maybe the Texans reap the benefits for years to come. I haven’t heard any real details, so I’m just thinking out loud on this.

This will not make a bit of difference to the fans, or the outcomes of the team. It will make the McNair's more money. I don't care about any of this. Aside from the Browns, they are the only exisiting franchise to have never appeared in the AFC Championship game.

As someone who grew up on Barker Cypress, it’s never not under construction

So if there's a new stadium it would be built in Bridgeland? Also does this mean whatever offices are in Reliant get moved to this area

They are going to do a major renovation to NRG. If a new stadium were to be built, it would be where the Astrodome is.
Yes. The primary offices would move...although I am sure some office space will remain.

The last sentence is why the McNair's shouldn't get a dime of taxpayers money.
