A/TO ratios KD 1.42 Sengun 1.99 KPJ 2.55 Fred 3.8 Freds is historically elite, KPJ's is good, Sengun's is okay, KD's is terrible When did I say l liked him? I said he's having a great season. Fred shot 34% last season too. Objectivity seems like a thing that comes 2nd, or 3rd to you.
Read the post, I didn't say "A/TO" I said "Turnover rate" (technially i should have said turnover %, which is per 100 my bad) It is 16% for Porter, it is around 13% for Durant and 14% for Sengun. it is around 3 TO per game for all of them. It is the same, for all intents and purposes! He offers no ball security over and above what currently exists. In fact, while % wise it is not that much different, he is the 15th highest TOV% in the league out of 186 qualified players. KPJ is simply not good at this. His A/TO ratio among high usage guards is not good. Again despite hte fact that he is used a ton, having the same A/TO of Bronny James is not great! You think this is good, in fact you think it is a great season! I think it is not a great season. It is not even as good as a bad FVV season. And in fact, he is weakest in the areas where the Rockets are already extremely weak!
3.0 turnovers for 18 points and 7.5 assists in my eyes is objectively, historically consider to be good. Not sure where to go from here on this discussion, the way you bring up Bronny and use exclamations every other sentence reads like theater and not an attempt at a real discussion.
Ok, objectively historically his season is not really good unless you're comparing it to like 2003 Steve Francis. It's maybe marginally better (and in some ways, worse) than his last Tank Commander year. It is absolutely not a "great season" (your words) Can you actually tell me why you like KPJ and think he would be good on the Rockets today? I think the guy sucks ass as a teammate and would be bad both overall and to watch on this version of the Rockets. You and DD have been arguing about this all day but won't tell me why. Are you actually a Scoot fan? Is anyone?
I like his game, think of him as a young man with talent that finally matured, and I think the team would be better with him at PG - distributing the ball this year. And I don't like FVV at all, slow on the floor on both ends, below average shooter - a plodder, not going to win with him. KPJ isn't a Rocket - I just believe if we had someone like him at the PG spot we would be a complete team. DD
Why do you like his game? He's basically a poor man's Harden or Zac LaVine, dribbles forever, stops the ball, not a very good shooter or passer. He is no fun at all to watch. I don't even care about the statline. Why do you believe he would complete the team? He is terrible at game tempo, he is terrible at ball movement, he is not a great shooter, he is not especially good at taking care of the ball - these are things the Rockets are bad at already. It's funny you call Van Vleet a plodder - KPJ offense is slow AF. The guy holds the ball forever. Way, way longer than FVV
