He needs to stop thinking and just shoot his shot in rhythm or slash/rim run for the dunk. Every time he puts the ball on the floor, its either a TO or a terrible offensive of possession.

Definitely see that with Sengun as well...but not as much as Jabari. Jabari can be a consistent double double player with good shooting percentage if just shoot instead of dribbling. Coaching staff needs develop plays to help him find his spot. That turn around midrange jumper is automatic when he shoots in rhythm.

I think that a lineup with Bari as a stretch-5 and Amen plays as a point forward, with either healthy fvv or Reed as pg, could be lethal. Sure, defensively we’ll struggle clogging the paint. But offensively? With 4 guys who can score from distance, Amen will be able to get easily to the paint.
I don’t claim I prefer Bari over Sengun as a player, but eventually we’ll have to decide if we keep Sengun or Amen. If we keep Amen, we’ll have to play with Bari as stretch 5. If we bring a replacement big who can’t shoot from distance - then we didn’t change anything..

Because the casuals don’t understand the value of a role player. They think since he struggles to dribble drive and create his own shot he’s worthless.

We’ve seen plenty of players who can drive and create space like Westbrook, Green and Amen, but they struggle from distance and hurt spacing. So which is worse? You can get to the rim but can’t shoot or you can shoot but can’t get to the rim?

Bari helps the offense by 1. Not being ball dominant, 2 spacing the floor and pulling away a defensive big to guard him.

He is a ROLE player and that’s all we need him to be. Amen, Sengun, and Durant are the “stars” let them break down defenses and kick it out to Bari and Reed.

No way Jabari deserves "more shots"
Blasphemy to put Jabari in the same conversation as prime Klay Thompson!
Klay had is own gravity where he killed defenses if they closed out too aggressive on him because of his shooting. His mid-range was deadly and was an above-average finisher when driving to the paint.
Jabari sucks in the post, finally starting to dunk after 4 years in the league, and defenses aren't really closing out on him. Granted, he's shooting well from 3 these past few weeks.
Keep that same energy once defenses start aggressively chasing him off the 3pt line and let's see if Jabari is truly growing.
Honestly, I'm not buying it - as a Rockets fan, I hope I'm wrong!

You’re absolutely right if we were in 2002. Game is evolving, I think everyone understands he’s a role player.

The Spurs and Thunder role players can all run, cut, catch, pass, dribble and also shoot. The job duties for role players is different now.
