With the revolting Utah Jazz in town, it's only appropriate to be petty or irritated as a Rockets fan with all things considered... A quick ranking of the positives resulting for both teams post-trade: 1. Houston acquiring KD. I'm looking forward to the Rockets hitting their stride and having KD in any 7 game series. Winning and solving some chronic hiccups (including group chats/IG fingers) cures everything. 2A: Dillon Brooks: Phoenix gained what should have been an All Star reserve and he'll receive a nice new contract wherever he ends up. 2B: Opportunities in Phoenix resulting from injuries: Collin Gillespie is becoming a stud. He's going to be an amazing player for PHX to continue building with and even (dirty) Grayson Allen is finally more than an intentional injury threat to opposing teams. The Suns have a ton of fight in them, and if not for DBook/Dil's injuries, they would be a tough playoff matchup. 3. Draya Michele After losing a 7 figure swimwear deal as a rep for one of Rihanna's brands (don't judge those of us who unfortunately watched such ridiculous content to know this nonsense), she was able to secure at least 17 years of massive child support payments from Rockets' legend, Jalen Green. When he consults with his elder(s) who played in Orlando/D.C., I hope they show him grace for being unfamiliar with her resume. (I'd assume no less than 30-40k monthly) ...And, if he is happily in love with Ms. Michele, I wish his family all the best, without any more professional or personal issues in the future with Shawn Carter (and a very messy Stallion). Also, has anyone checked on Klay's emotional wellbeing? 6ish: Phoenix also gained an expensive, streaky shooting guard who may have already reached his ceiling. As much as we all hoped for JG to become a solid 1st, 2nd or 3rd option, Jalen is who he is. (He's young and has time, but I'm not a believer. Then again, I was very, very wrong about Kyle Lowry as a young gun and he became Toronto royalty.) I hope our guys put the tanking Jazz out early to get some rest and extra minutes for Aaron, DFS, etc... Much love to all HTown fans
bad spacing, unfavorable matchup, bad coaching need 4 shooters around him and a genius coach and non defending opponents
Ha. Hahahah. Hahahahahahha. Who could've possibly predicted this. I'd watch this dumpster fire of a season 100 times out of 100 instead of watching Failen Green chuck up garbage after garbage and pretend he's a good player, and listening to his idiotic fans claim he is because that one game 2 months ago he scored a lot efficiently. Can you believe we put up with that for four years. hahahaha this organisation is a flat out joke.
Too bad offense > defense lmao I take the 40 piece from KD anyday. Also KD is a league leader in defensive FG so yeah.
OMG, but this message forum misses Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks. I can't seriously believe that people are upset about the Durant trade. Green had shown us his worth, so no surprise to see the numbers. Dillon, having a great season and miss his defensive presence, however, he is not the player that gives you a chance to compete in the playoffs. For as miserable as some games have been this season, I feel more confident going into the playoffs with Durant. Our flaws are hard to overcome: franchise players Amen and Sengun unable to shoot and coach of the year candidate, Ime Udoka, being an absolutely stubborn coach stuck in the 90s and holding the team back, but even then, we have a pretty good chance to at least advance to the 2nd round.
