The problem is Smith has missed games over recent seasons. Not so much earlier in his career. I'm not against bringing him in on a one year deal. Just not on a 3-4 year deal given his injury history.

I'm out on Ingram, I've got a thing about a guy who underperforms and then plays well in a contract year.

take it with a grain of salt but I heard through a friend Trent Williams wants to come home if he can't resolve the contract issue with the 49ers. He lives here in the offseason.

5-years too late. Wanted him instead of Tunsil.

I don't want the lazy eyed GM making any draft evaluations on any players outside of the secondary. I would rather like Mel Kiper's hair pick -- Mr. New England is THAT bad.

Caserio and the New England people have been living off of Tom Brady and the coaching of Dante Scarnecchia for a while now.

    Really?

If CJ hadn't screwed the bed the Texans would have been in the SB, instead the Pats were in the SB. Tell me how that's living off of Brady/Scarnecchia? Just tell us you're a hater of all things Foxboro and move on.

New England bootlickers on a Houston message board are a trip. I invite you to survey the coaches who came from New England:
The two most successful were Bill O'Brien and Brian Flores- they were both barely above .500.

I will give you Mike Vrabel (and a sweet last place schedule) but he was never a coach under Belichek.

Yeah, Caserio was good at Belichik's assistant. So good that he drafted Vrabel.

Caserio drafted Stroud and Caserio is the one that has played a big part in the development of Stroud as well.

I don't think Caserio is the worst GM, but I do believe that they can do better.

Hannah and the fan council drafted CJ, Caserio and Meco are left with the mess to cleanup. IMHO

    Which is the best option:

    (A)
    Howard
    Ingram (re-signed)
    Andrews
    Pregnon (pick 28 or 38)
    Ersery

    or

    (B)
    Iheanachor (pick 28)
    Howard
    Andrews
    Pregnon (pick 38)
    Ersery

    or

    (C)
    Braden Smith (fa)
    Rutledge (pick 69)
    Andrews
    Howard
    Ersery

    or

    (D)
    Howard
    Rutledge (pick 69)
    Andrews
    Zion Johnson (fa)
    Ersery

I think I'd go with B. Its risky having multiple rookies on the Oline but I think the Texans would have 3 long term pieces in place going that route. I think theyd likely need to sign some depth pieces (maybe Trent Brown and a veteran OG along with Patterson and Fisher?). Id like to upgrade the C spot but I dont see a perfect fit cost wise or talent wise (maybe a late pick like Coogan or Logan Jones?). IDK. What do you guys think?

The 2026 is the best draft for interior linemen that I've seen in the last 15 years. There is an abundance of Day 2 and early Day 3 interior lineman. Even better is the fact that your getting more experienced prospects as most of them are 5th and 6th year seniors.

    2nd to 4th round Centers

    Jake Slaughter C Florida
    Connor Lew C Auburn
    Parker Brailsford C Alabama
    Logan Jones C Iowa
    Connor Tollison C Missouri
    Pat Coogan C Indiana
    Bryce Foster C Kansas
    Sam Hecht C Kansas State

    2nd to 4th round Guards

    Emmanuel Pregnon Oregon
    Chase Bisontis Texas A&M
    Austin Barber Florida
    Brian Parker II Duke
    Billy Schrauth Notre Dame
    Ar'Maj Reed-Adams Texas A&M
    Jalen Farmer Kentucky
    D.J. Campbell Texas
    Beau Stephens Iowa
    Keylan Rutledge Georgia Tech
    Febechi Nwaiwu Oklahoma
    Gennings Dunker Iowa
    Carver Willis Washington
    Joshua Braun Kentucky
    Ethan Onianwa Ohio State
    Fa'alili Fa'amoe Wake Forest
    J.C. Davis Illinois

    B. But I'm not a fan of Pregnon.

I also like D because I'm a big Rutledge fan.
