Go watch 1Q of yesterday’s game again. Durant led in assists. The problem is no one respects Amen’s shot which leaves no one open. And moving Sengun to the top of the key takes away the inside game. No one’s saying Durant is the GOAT PG but he’s loads better than anyone else on our roster
maybe watch the three games prior to last night while your at it. one game knee-jerkers please go away.
Oh, sorry, I thought we were talking about the first ballot hall of famer who has averaged 5-6 APG his entire career... And we won the Grizzlies game after we started giving the ball to KD in the 4Q
I don't have to watch it, I watched it, and all the other collapses because of it, Sacremento, the Pelicans, Portland, Mavs twice, it isn't working...there was a CROWD trying to get him the ball and it failed or ate up the shot clock time and time again. KD Can't play PG, he SUCKS at it, we are 100% using KD wrong, he needs to be the guy at the end of the motion not the beginning. He is an aging DECLINING 37 year old basketball player, he is unable to get by most guys now, he can rise above and shoot that sweet middie, but that and his 3pt shot are it, now, he barely drives, he is a lousy passer, - so use him for what he is GREAT at, and get everyone else moving.....and touching that ball.... DD
He is STILL a first ballot hall of famer, but he isn't a 30 year old one....it is ok to say he isn't the same anymore even if his output is great.....is the team better with him being ball dominant - no, it is not. DD
Most of his assists came in transition or he was the 2nd person to receive the ball. Dickerson as a PG initiator is a disaster.
eh Michael Dickerson averaged 10.9 ppg and 1.9apg in 1999 the backup to Maloney I believe that is exactly what this team needs.
How many turnovers last night? 25, 26, 27? And you still think this current plan is working? Someone has no idea what they are doing with this team when the whole world sees it and they don’t.
The turnovers came from our team's current solution at PG, Amen with 6 TOs and 3 assists Sengun had 9 assists, 3 turnovers, but was only +3 in his minutes KD had 12 assists, 4 turnovers and +28 in his minutes 5 of the last 7 MVPs are 7ft point-forwards
KD used to lead the NBA in hockey-assists, enough with this blasphemy. He and Fred are the only ones on the roster who can get 16+ assists any given night and both have done so @ Toyota in the last 2 years. No one else on our team can do that. Is it ideal? No. Does it open up the offense? Yes. Is it our best solution currently? Yes.
Yes, I do not think posters criticize his passing or facilitating, they think he can't do it for 40 minutes......also he is 37. Plus, elite guards that play for OKC and San Antonio are going to have a field day with PG Durant. All you can do is pull it off against tanking and mediocre teams. The same with PG Alpe or PG Amen.
That's where being a foot taller than them helps. Using him like Carmelo Anthony at the end of the play is certainly not the answer. Neither is wide open Amen at the top of the key.
No, neither one should be - no one can look at a horrible Utah game as any example of success, they don't pressure the ball, which is all you have to do to slow Durant and the Rockets down. Reed or Davison, or Holiday are the only ball protecting players we have. DD
Reed and Sengun can't play together. Clutch made this point last night in the postgame too. Almost every lineup with those 2 is negative and they almost blew the lead last night. Every lineup with Holiday in it is turrible Davison, maybe? Big stretch there to assume a G-league player can be as effective as an all time great
