Can We Be Done With The Tariffs Now? ​

Trump's tariffs never realy make sense. Now that the Supreme Court has ruled that Trump never had the authority to impose
the additional sales tax on imports, what does Trump do next is an open question, only he knows.

But, if Trump was looking to save face, and abandon his failed tariffls policies, the Supreme Court ruling gave him a perfect off ramp.

We encourage him to take it!

 

I had to laugh when I read his giant 37 line paragraph he posted on his social media site. He posted the same thing back to back. Once wasn't enough I guess. It started like this....

The supreme court (will be using lower case letters for a while based on a complete lack of respect!) of the United States accidentally and unwittingly gave me, as President of the United States, far more powers and strength than I had prior to their ridiculous, dumb, and very internationally divisive ruling.

This is why so many of trump's business failed..............he is a great con man, a great marketer, a great snake oil salesman, a great cheat at golf and on his marriages but he is horrible at running a business and unfortunately for us we have today the price for this idiot. I guess these new tariffs are good for 150 days unless Congress extends it, he wont go to Congress so is this just to save face for the next few months. SCOTUS has already ruled its illegal, I don't get the end game

Refunds are a whole other mess. Companies that were forced to pay illegal tariffs are owed a refund. But, they were able to pass on some of the extra costs of the tariffs to American consumers because it put upward pressure on retail market prices. So now if these companies get refunds, will they reward American consumers with lower prices? No, those refunds will go to the shareholders. Competitive markets don't look backwards and true-up. So, I don't really want to see any refunds paid. It's too late now. Keep that money in government coffers to pay for all the ridiculous bloat our elected government decides to fund.

 

Declare a different emergency every 150 days.

The worst part is companies have realized they can squeeze the consumer and are unlikely to bring anything down to pre tarif levels. Essentially the most blatant useless and illegal taxes levied on the American citizens we have seen

Trump Issues New Threat To Countries That Abide By 'Ridiculous Supreme Court' Ruling

President Donald Trump issued a warning to "any country" that tried to use the Supreme Court's recent decision to buck his tariffs.

"Any Country that wants to 'play games' with the ridiculous supreme court [sic] decision, especially those that have 'Ripped Off' the U.S.A. for years, and even decades, will be met with a much higher Tariff, and worse, than that which they just recently agreed to," Trump wrote Monday morning on Truth Social.​
