I still don't know whether this guy is just washed or whether he's going to get back to something like his old self physically. But I do know he was a bad signing from a team that clearly thought it could contend for something. Contenders don't go after seriously injured roleplayers, they go after roleplayers who can help them now.
I thought it was fair to give him till the end of Feb/early March. We’re getting close. Regardless the DFS signing has been a mistake and wasted use of our MLE. Very disappointing. Can we stop betting on injured old guys? Oladipo, John Wall, Steven Adams, DFS….not a good track record. Stop doing it.
Hey jerk, who looks like the smart one now! As always, I take flak and literally months later outsmart many of the lower iq fans on this board.
Benching Okogie for this guy is yet another in a long list of moves that shows Ime is one of the worst coaches in the league.
One of the bets on those guys included receiving a draft pick that was subsequently used as one of the 2 pieces in the Sengun trade. Considering Sengun's value, it was well worth the SRPs, negative contracts, Bird rights, and NT-MLE to acquire those guys even if that one pick as part of the Sengun trade is the only positive value coming from those old guys.
yeah I’m gonna have to disagree with you there. Any mediocre pick would do for that Sengun package. You can’t justify the John wall trade that way. My point was that betting on these old, injured plsyers hasn’t worked out for us. It feels like the front office uses that as a strategy, but if you look at the two most recent examples, Adams only really played healthy basketball for 1 yr with us and is now on his second major surgery in 3yrs. And DFS looks like a complete waste of our MLE.
