I’ve already stated that I actually respect how you articulate and presented your points regardless of how much I disagree with them. I feel professionalism bleeds into other aspects in life the majority of the time, you don’t. That’s just us as different individuals and I think that’s ok bro.

 

You pretty much answered your own question by listing the faults of all the players. You can't ask why didn't Ime play this guy or that guy, and then go on to list everything wrong with the best players on the roster.

Maybe this team is not as deep talent-wise as we thought. List 3 players on the Rockets that are better than the Knicks trio of Jalen Brunson, Karl Anthony Towns, and OG Anunoby. Ime has had this team punching above their weight for a while.

what offensive players are you talking about? The Rockets surrounded Durant with Amen, Smith, DFS, and Tari. These have been part of the core rotation all year. They also played Sengun final minutes. So what offensive players are you talking about that they didn’t play? Ahh so you’re upset they didn’t play Sheppard? Is this the basis for your rants is Udoka didn’t play Sheppard?

Also one big play in the comeback was Sheppard got smoked by alvarado which led to a bridges put back. This is part of why udoka went with DFS.

 

Exactly! The reason Reed isn't closing out games because he easily give up points on defense! Instead of trying to stay in front of his player, he prefers to make opportunistic plays (poke behind or block from behind) high risk high reward, but while our opponent is on a run those plays are uncalled for.
I think Ime is using the right approach of coaching Reed hard and we'll see substantial growth going into next or his ass will be traded!

You wanna "bottom line" this thing? The bottom line is 6 years into a rebuild you should not be worshipping Ime just because we hit 50 wins. In what universe would anything less than a 50 win team be ok after 5 years of maturing youth + that much money spent on players he loves + crazy number of draft picks?

Be honest and stop digging your heels in. Last season he was ahead of schedule in the regular season and he shat in that by losing to the 7th seed while he's the 2nd seed. It was not all a success. A 2nd seed should NOT get bounced by the 7th.

Why on earth would we accept a regression from this team? If we don't win 50, all criticism is valid. Don't call other people r****ded when you're fan girling about an offense the has had a dog **** TS% for his entire tenure. How you take that long and spend that much and end up with the same TS% as Stephen Silas' Rockets?

You need to take your own advice and take a step back. Listen to what people are discussing instead of b****ing and moaning about how harsh we are on a team that practically everyone says is struggling and should've acquired a PG at the deadline to be taken seriously.

 

This team isn’t as talented or skilled and that’s the bottom line. We also have roster/team construction deficiencies.

 

Those who complain are a mixed bag. Many simply only want Sheppard to play more. Others question lineup combinations while some want him to reach deeper in the bench. And many clamor for more movement. Some of this has merit and some don’t. But those pushing for firing this man is unreasonable to me considering he hasn’t even completed a full year yet after a year where we reached the postseason. Let’s see what he can do this year.

Even if we get bounced first round what structural changes can we make? Were there coaching deficiencies? Roster/personnel? If he pulls a George Karl and loses 4 straight playoffs in the 1st round then sure there’s reasoning and cause. But now isn’t the time. People talk about Mike Malone but it took the man 8 years to win a ring with that team. They regressed and were swept by PHX in second round after losing in conference finals a year earlier then lost first round to GSW. But Den stuck it out with him and won the next year in ‘23. Let’s stop all the knee jerk firing nonsense especially when our personnel isn’t as talented or skilled and our roster not balanced as other teams.

 

Out of Curiosity, what would be his preferred next destination.....

 

I wouldn’t be surprised if he stayed as a commentator for a while.

 

I would love to see what MDA would have been able to get out of Sheppard. So sad not to get to see that.

 

I like Taylor Jenkins. Those Memphis teams clearly overperformed and tons of young players developed under his watch.

I would love to see them bring in Malone to replace Ime after we lose in the first round again.

I would not be surprised at all if that happens. The only surprise would be if we advanced past the first round but I see zero chance of that happening with Ime calling the shots.

Ime hasn’t done ****. This team went up 15 with Furant and reed cooking in the third and alpi generating good looks.

The bald pervert puts in all defensive lineup despite still being up 10 and that basically gave the knicks the game.

And in the game i mentioned (blazers rematch) there were other players who played way better who deserved.

I’m sorry but reed absolutely deserved to close this game, win or lose. If he played bad, bench him. I wanted him benched the whole hornets 4th Q because he was playing drunk out of his mind. I am in favor of reed getting benched when he plays bad as I am in favor of letting him cook when he plays good.

Or how dorian finney smith bricked a wide open layup, a wide open three, was a team minus -21 in a point loss, had a nasty turnover, couldn’t hit a wide open three, but because he plays “defense” (Kat fried his trash ass), he should be in over the only other guy they gaurd in the perimeter? or your offensive hub who wasn’t even playing too bad minus the turnovers (still played better than finney smith).

52-30 win season sure. The team was healthy and his double big scheme has caught up with him and has been exposed.

Boston fans whose team in 22 was way better than ours complained about his stagnant offense but because Muh Finals run vs eastern teams (banged up eastern teams he could barely beat) you think that criticism doesn’t matter.
