Interesting fact: Since Canada booed the US National Anthem, their hockey teams have won 0 gold medals.

 

When they brought out Gadreau's jersey after winning and showed his parents crying in the stands... unreal moment. Mike Tirico was even choking up when his kids were brought in for the team photo along with his jersey. The bond within US hockey is unlike anything else. Bill Guerrin took a lot of criticism with his roster selections and is looking like a genius now. Hats off to the boys!!

FWIW. according to this 60 Minute interview, shortly after she announced her comeback after a 2-yr hiatus

her father Arthur, who owns a law practice in the SF bay area, thru out the years, has spent $ millions on her training.


Arthur was a college student in China actively involved in the TianAnman Square protest movement in 1989;
he later immigrated to the US as a political refugee.​
