Yeah that hurts too but also stems from Ime's mentality of overvaluing defense way too much.

Ball handling goes down when you take out Reed for DFS who can't handle the ball at all, but since Ime thinks DFS will be the better defender (and he even wasn't lol) he makes that move and does it time and time again because he completely overvalues that side of the ball.

He's at least chilled out on the KD with 4 brick layer lineups but he still doesn't seem to think he needs ball handlers on the floor or doesn't seem to value it that much.

then time and time again Ime said nah, i rather have keith bogans 2.0 out there than a PG who ran the offense just fine.

hell, the reed and amen combo was fuggin deadly

i never said it worked in the playoffs

if anything, ime found lightning in a bottle with the jumbo lineup in the playoffs then he tries to force it down everyone throat this year and it barely worked.

 

Ime is essentially Dusty Baker...

 

Put it this way.

He's a better NBA player, than Udoka is an NBA coach.

I wonder how he told Amen when Amen was playing out there. Maybe he shouted really loud from the sideline.

This is basically still a developmental and evaluation year roster-wise and that's fine with me (although Stone is contractually obligated to deny it, and some people here will be mad about recognizing it).

I just wish we prioritized it as such, from a coaching and FO perspective. It really is difficult to develop and evaluate all our young players with this incredibly obtuse offensive philosophy and roster makeup.

What would Sengun/Amen/Reed/Jabari/Tari look like on a team with bare minimum spacing principles and modern offensive theory? How would they develop in an environment where they were playing the actual roles they are suited for? I truly don't know. How will the front office know?
