You know what I noticed in that clip. Jason Terry running the point. That was a collective team effort, but Jason Terry was that that guy, that this Rockets team needs.

Had a good handband crew going. To this day I think they were the team Dwight guys when James and Dwight had their rift and guys were picking sides in the locker room

I think we should have went more all in on that first Dwight/Harden season. Morey I’m sure thought they had more seasons to run it back but of course in the NBA nothing ever lasts. I remember Chandler Parsons was really good that season too.

The reason that team failed though was a stupid breakdown on defending an inbound pass where you could have anyone on the Blazers get the ball… anyone but freaking Dame.

Had the team defended that shot the way they should have, I do think that team could have went all the way potentially. That breakdown was either on McFail or Harden who I recall was supposed to switch and fell asleep leaving Chandler on an island to look like a fool.

Awesome that Mike Tirico called this too. What a fun era looking back despite typically ending in losing to golden state, something that still happens after a complete team rebuild.

I'm souring on Udoka but let's not make any false claims either. You guys absolutely despised McHale and his clap clap **** lol. McHale has had more success than Udoka for sure, but he had better teams to work with.

I've got to admit, last night was actually the first game where I thought "wait, is this mother****er actually rigging the games?" It's crazy how often we go from being in complete control to completely ******** the bed.

As soon as they went away from the defensive scheme on Brunson, benched Reed, kept DFS in I told everyone around me this was a wrap and they would probably end up losing by 1 or 2

it wasn’t even a surprise at this point, that’s how acclimated we are

In the end it gave us the 17-18 team which was probably is the best team to never win a ring and better than the majority of the championship teams in the last decade for sure

I liked Dwight but looking back we were never winning a ring with him trying to post up. It just needed to be put to bed. Much like trying to get Durant and senguin to run point , iso-ing every play etc right now

To be fair, McHale had the gut to bench Harden in that miraculous Clippers game. Udoka had the gut to bench Sheppard in the miraculous Knicks game. :D

I think most gave up on the Dwight post ups halfway through the first season. He was too awkward down there. If Dwight would have committed to the PnR, the Rockets would have won a ring the year Dame knocked them out.
