This is normal, we have lost at least 10 games where we led by double digits in the 4th - we have no offensive system, teams can easily shut us down. DD
One thing about the Rockets for 4-5 years now: the score at the end of the third is irrelevant. They will either claw back or meltdown like they get paid by how close the game ends. Zero consistency. You never know what team you will get in a given quarter.
At this point, I'm kinda hoping we just lose out for the rest of the season so that Ime will for sure get canned. Brings back memories of the tanking years.
Thread should be amended to be titled 'The Ime Special'. This guy is an absolute incompetent clown. It's hilarious how often he's shoving his ineptitude down our throats this season when he has a good team. What I wouldn't give for a coaching staff to actually utilize our players and play to their many strengths. It should be studied, how badly Ime conned this organization and the braindead management into extending him so soon when it wasn't necessary.
We can talk about how shitty DFS played, and he sure did and SURE isn't worth a penny of his contract so far...but you know who kept him on the floor? OUR MFING COACH! What the actual **** was this game, when DFS passed on an open dunk, did an up and under and then blew the layup, I knew something bad was in the works. Great pass by Reed to get him that look, too. Perhaps not an all-time chokejob, but that doesn't make the loss sit any better, especially when Ime makes the same mistakes again and again. I get valuing defense, but it shouldn't come at the expense of NO OFFENSE, especially since the defensive player in question wasn't doing much defending outside of hustle plays. Ugh
We've been hearing it since the 90s. Last time we were in the finals was 95. Skin should be more than just thick. Why listen to what we already know. At this point it's stupid and inept management by a Houston sports organization.

Teams to me don't choke because teams can score so quick. A 15 point lead is nothing these days. You can't time waste anymore. What the coach can do is call a time out before a run gets going. Ime doesn't do this.
