what 4 non shooters are you referring to? And what defense was keying on him last night? He point blank missed several shots as he has been since DEC
Drawing defenders out to the line is Reed's job. He gets more wide open three pointers, closest defender 6+ feet away, than anyone else on the team. Durant gets 1 per game, Jabari gets 2.3, Reed gets 3 despite playing far fewer minutes than the other two. That's a good thing, Reed is great at those shots. But the entire opposing defense is clearly not keying in on him on the 3pt line.

Jesus, Reed could have had 10+ assists. I knew he had several good passes that missed but dang edit: **** how did I not realize that was more than one game the first time
Who said anything about making all wide open shots? 1/5 and 30% last 20 games isn’t good enough for anyone
This clip alone shows why Reed is a better pg option than Amen. Even a healthy Fred doesnt make these kinds of passes. Matter of fact we havent had a player that could pass like that since James Harden, John Wall, Westbrook... Thats high level stuff. Of course there's other pg type things he needs to work on but Ime has no clue how to develop a player like Reed. Dont need to go full dantoni, but wish we had someone who knew something about offense. Pritchard should praise god that Udoka is a horny dumbass.
It’s a development year. Hell, the GM already said it’s not our year. Amen and Reed should be starting and playing 35 mins in the backcourt. Even if Amen’s shooting doesn’t come around he can work on every other aspect of his game. It’s a much better plan than winning another 50 or so games with a defense only strategy and getting kicked in the first round again. Everything
They both love to make lateral passes to the other team when they force it to Sengun or KD so eh. They’re both not good. Neither are point guards. Just combo guards who aren’t that good at this moment
lol that was said in jest. Why are fans taking this out of context? They already said this is winning time. Phase 3.
Because his college year was the outlier, he's not "generational" and never was. Jabari fits the bill more in their youth careers as a shooter. From what I can find of Reed pre-Kentucky he was in the high 30's. A solid 3 pt shooter, not remotely a generational anything.
No, you are wrong, he is a very good shooter who as his comfort get better will only get even better. This is essentially his rookie year, and he is fine, if Ime would be starting him at PG, he would be even better, eventually he is probably the most complete player we have drafted in our rebuild, but it will take him a couple of years to fully get there, he is only 21,and would be a junior in college. I swear to god if we trade Reed to the Wizards for a Krispy Kreme and a 2 buck coffee i'ma be so pissed now.
I haven't seen any signs of him having generational potential, not even with his jump shooting. His statistical profile so far is very similar to a young Jamal Murray, and that's likely how he'll end up if everything goes well with his development. A very good shooter and solid ballhandler and playmaker with a smattering of other mid-tier "jack of all trades" guard skills.
