    My guess is that the majority of it was basically money laundered to buy favors.

    Not sure that makes it worse or better. Probably worse.

    At any rate, it's not against the law to sell a memecoin. Anybody who bought it got what they deserved.

    Trump destroyed the crypto market by taking away liquidity from bitcoin/eth and diverting it to his **** coins. Now his stink has hurt the reputation of legit crypto projects ND left a bad taste with congress.
