if Biden was the one who was implementing these stupid tariffs, they’d be raising hell and be fully against it but because their daddy is doing it, they support notice how they no longer talk about the price of groceries even tho Trump’s brilliant tariffs caused prices to go up across the board…notice how they no longer care about inflation…notice how government spending and deficit is no longer a MAGA talking point
They serve a purpose in individual cases where a country is doing some shady s!!t, as a way to stabilize a US sector while negotiations (or WTO mediation) is ongoing. We've done it many times (Canadian lumber, various dumpings of foreign steel, etc...). But the insane way the Trump Admin did it across the board as some sort of domestic economic stimulus was every bit the disaster it was predicted to be.
We are still gonna have dumbasses in our country thinking tariffs were working why else would the elites shutdown their orange savior tariffs too early and deem it illegal.
