A standard rebuild isnt a 50 win team in 4 years, especially given the mess Stone inherited. He literally started from scratch. Mind you some of you wanted him fired after year 2 yet you're crying about us struggling mid-season at 33-20 4th seed. Talk about goal post moving

Loser mentality post. You are the same guy who thought Silas was a great hire.

Because for the past 30 years Houston fans have been gullible and buy whatever $&@“ is fed to them. If you don’t demand better then what you get is a non-basketball lawyer as your GM.

    No it's not

    Starting from scratch is standard

    I didn't want him fired

I don't think you know what goal post moving means

Thanks for the convo. Sorry I'm not worshipping a first round exit team after 6 years, $90m AAV added and 12 FRP's.

You are goal post moving. From a results standpoint, Stone needs a RAISE. He's done a fantastic job not only setting us up to win, but giving us significant draft flexibility in the future. Also the he's changed the poor reputation of the organization we had since the Morey days. So its either Stone's a poor GM or you guys are ungrateful idiots who'll never be satisfied?

the answer is: not good enough. He’s had lots of high draft picks, plenty of assets, 7 seasons. At the end of the day our two best prospects cant shoot and we’ve busted on two of our top 4 picks…we’ll see about Reed.

    not good enough.

And btw: Stone’s first 4 seasons were a big reason for the poor organizational reputation.

And…KPJ bro. Building around KPJ happened.

Why is it a good idea for a lawyer to be in charge of building an nba team? Guys like Presti came up through actual basketball. Stone came up through contract law. And somehow he still thought it was a good idea to give Jalen Green $36 mil per yr. And extend our worst draft pick for 5 freaking yrs.

"Is this just not our year?" was about KD.

He was. Silas wasn't brought here to win fool. Also a loser mentality isnt what i did, in staying patient during the rebuild and trusting Stone's direction. The loser is guys like YOU who just jumped on the bandwagon when Ime got here

Morey rebuilt to a 50 win team in 4 years and didn't even need a losing season to do it, much less subject us to unwatchable basketball for 3 years. Carroll Dawson before him rebuilt to 50 win team and his worst season was due to Steve Francis getting injured. Stone isn't doing miracle work he's doing the basics of what a GM should accomplish when given free reign to trade away a superstar to tank freely.

That is your belief, I think Patrick Fertitta is the shadow man behind all of it.....the Fertittas were willing to tank and conveyed to Stone which prospects to take in general....

The Lawyer was just a puppet from the start....but I do believe he understood just an iota what the NBA was all about.

Because he isnt the person in the position making decisions.

He's a face to take the criticism off little Patty Fertitta.

Yes. Patience got us one of the best young and up & coming teams, with multiple draft future picks within 3-4 years. As a ungrateful box score watcher ofcourse you can't appreciate Stone's work

Yes, I am very excited about the unprotected possible first pick in this upcoming extremely strong draft that Stone inexplicably gave away. Good news is the lawyer saved Tillman from having to pay this year’s top pick’s salary. If you try to somehow explain that we should be shocked that the Nets are awful and giving away an unprotected top three pick in the strongest draft in a decade is a good thing, then you need additional therapy!!!

Please pass along to the rocktards

Chris Finch on how fast the NBA can change, given the fact the Mavs & Wolves met in the WCFs nearly 2 years ago: "I think we've seen it before. We've seen it with Memphis. I think you have to embrace the opportunities when you're there. For one reason or another, things might change quickly on you. It's not a coincidence the league's had 7 (different) champions in 7 years. Every reason to believe that there will be another new champion just because the league is so competitive & fluid. Things change really, really fast & you kind of gotta go for it when you've got that chance."

Arent you the same guy who kept saying the Rockets traded away Cooper Flagg when Stone did the Nets trade? You were losing your **** so much how you like Egor Demin now????

Meanwhile Rox used that trade to get KD and swaps in 2027 and 2029.

Of course when you dont understand **** its easy to just keep complaining.
