We should have traded for Alvarado honestly, he's the closest we'd have been able to come to replacing Fred without paying a first round pick. The other option I saw the other day is that Cameron Payne came back to the NBA from Europe and signed with the Sixers.

Neither guy would magically turn us into "real" contenders, but either one might have given us slightly better odds of advancing to the second round or later.

Lonzo just doesn't bring anything we don't already have a better version of. Maybe a bit more playmaking than Amen or Reed but it's not worth the tradeoffs.
