People have been trashing Jabari for months. He honestly cant shoot and takes too many shots but at the same time he is very young and if we're gonna keep him then you gotta let him grow. All that is besides the point. Regardless if its true that Jabari cant shoot as a teammate you dont want to call him r****ded in public. Maybe to your girl or family in person in a moment joking or frustrated but not in public. Ive been on teams before we were like brothers. This can destroy a team. For instance if nothng happens to KD from the team then youre gonna not only feel like KD hates you but the team too. Then your teammates and friends could get mad and the lockeroom hates each other. THESE ARE THE EXACT REPORTS THAT CAME OUT OF THE SUNS LOCKER ROOM LAST YEAR.

This is way bigger than being a lottery team for one season or not. We were the 2 seed last year while KD was with the sucks ass Suns. This is bigger than that. This is what do you want your organization to be at a fundamental level. I don’t have a lot of faith in the Italian ambassador wannabe Scarface family to figure that out sadly, but as a lifelong Rockets fan I sure hope they figure it out

 

Obviously the screenshots are not verified so I don't know if he did it, but it is extremely annoying that he took 2 days to deliver a response that would only come from a highly insecure person who doesn't want the attention to disappear. It would have been better to say nothing at all or everything at once.

This guy has a big PR team and tbh I'm suspicious of why they chose a response that would only worsen the situation.

Even a liar would choose a better response than this. It just doesn't make any sense.

 

I thnk its the exact response someone who is afraid of being caught in a lie reacts. If more proof comes out he will look like a even bigger clown for lying. I think thats how you act when you know there are people who know its real but you dont know if they will come forward so you keep things vague.

 

I get the feeling but it makes a ton of sense. He’s shown us who he is repeatedly. Fans of every team he’s ever played for aren’t remotely surprised by this. He’s a snake. Not a team guy at all lol. I think we disagree on a very narrow point. I don't care what he's done in the past, I only care what he's done since he's been here.

I believe people can change especially at his age. They can also not change at all obviously. I leave the opportunity for redemption open. I can't take that away just because I saw a screenshot which I have no way of proving is true. These type of incidents are not uncommon for popular people.

Right now, I believe exactly what I believed before these leaks: KD is not a role model or a leader. No one should treat him as such off the court. He's a hired gun who in the playoffs can give you 27 efficient points and play good defense with a huge wingspan. He has won 2 titles in that role so I'm sure it's possible.

This guy is invested in a company that has helped to execute, unintentionally kill or detain nieces and nephews (under 18) of my close friend and colleague. Believe me Max, I have no motive to defend this dude and in fact I'm questioning whether I can even watch the rest of this season.

As a former financial investigator though, I have to say the evidence we have doesn't meet the most rudimentary standards of casual evidence. I'm not talking about some big legal standards. I'm talking just bare minimum human to human standards of evidence. If someone brought me a screenshot like that telling me my business partner is stealing money, I would not take it seriously unless they showed me the source material. Bringing about paranoia by volumizing weak evidence is a standard tactic that nefarious actors use. If someone releases a screen recording going through the device showing this back and forth, that's enough for me. Btw - just so you understand I'm not being unreasonable - that can be faked too, but that would still be enough for me to consider it.

In any case we will be fine. We have excellent young assets, a nice haul of picks, expiring contracts and no debilitating contracts. An average GM can build or reboot this very easily. The Rockets will be fine if they have a shred of competence.

Exactly right. In fact my very first thought was that it's unlikely because he has done this in the past and been caught. The idea that since he's done it once before that makes it more likely he's done it now is BS. He would either not do it again or be more careful. That he would just repeat the same exact mistake is unlikely to me.

However, don't underestimate the possibility that some people are just stupid and repeat their mistakes.

 

This all but confirms to me that it’s fake. Why would KD continue using the burner and say “who leaked it?” after supposedly getting exposed? Makes no sense at all.

 

Rockets PR is amazing.

If it wasn’t KD - he would have said so.

Whatever - it is between KD and his teammates.

 

To make it seem fake? To screw with people? Good - bad or otherwise, KD does and says what he wants.
