The only time Robert Land touches the hardwood is in a pair of knockoff Nautica Top Siders with dress socks.

I’m not going to defend Bari’s game, but I do think we did a horrible job of putting him in a position to succeed. Think about Summer League year 2 where he dominated as a primary option. We’ve continued to use him as a spot shooter which he’s proven to be bad at. Conversely, he’s proven over time to be money from the elbow and high post. Yet we don’t run a single action for him there.

idk... i hear that he's low key r****ded... lol!

Seriously though... I think Bari is a solid starter... he's gonna have good streaks and bad, but overall he's a solid rotational piece...

Now some folks will always rag on him bc he won't live up to that #3 pick hype - but that aint his fault.... he didnt make the pick... lol... and most pundits had him going #1....

The dude seems to have a good attitude and works hard at both ends of the court... he prob aint never gonna be a superstar... but we could do a lot worse....

im interested to see how he handles the whole gethigher77 thing... i think either he'll be a bit shook but be a professional... or KD can kiss his ass a little and he'll be all pumped...

his dribbling has greatly improved as he’s getting lower and attacking more. I think he will only get better from here.

Meanwhile our other num 3 pick: 31% 3 last 20 games. But crickets. No criticism. 2 standards. 2 worlds.

Never called him that but he is borderline goofball with his 'Ye know what I'm sayin'.............and he is too much of a stiff for a 3rd pick sure.

? he’s getting 15 pts 7 boards 1 block a game. That’s impact. Production. Stop being over critical. He does get chances at the mid post and elbows. But i agree he needs to get the ball at those spots. Unfortunately Durant and sengun play at similar spots.

forget about being r****ded or having no skills with the basketball whatsoever

what baffles me the most is how terrible he is from the midrange (he was supposed to be money from there coming off the draft) and wide open 3's

if he can't hit his shots, he's another spacing liability on our already f'ed up offense

Hardly anyone is asking for this.

Asking a self-proclaimed shooter to reach league average shooting percentage is something you'd ask of even the 30th pick.

We only want good defense and good shooting. Some rebounding is nice. To say that's too demanding is not reasonable.

I don’t get the fixation on league average. League average means all NBA players are taken into account for this data set. This means guys that rarely play and hit 7/10 threes or 1/1 etc. who cares what the league shoots?

Doncic, Jaylen Brown, Cade all shoot below league average in 3s. Bari shoots .358. That’s league average.

Are all those aforementioned players bad? Let’s stop this league average nonsense.

terrible? What’s considered good? He shoots 1.9 mid range shots a game at 37.6%. This about the same as guys like Adebeyo, Banchero, Aaron
Gordon, Julius Randle, Brandon Miller, AD. That’s a good group of players there. Who cares? He’s not derozan, KD or kawhi but few guys are. He’s second tier and that’s ok.

    He's done no such thing.

From the elbow, he is less efficient than: Reed Sheppard, Steven Adams, Clint Capela, Alperen Sengun, Amen, Tate and Uncle Jeff.

From mid range, he is shooting (ARE YOU READY?):

    37.6% ON MIDRANGE JUMPERS

I already mentioned that. See above. Several high caliber players that shoot around 2 MR shots a game shoot his %. So who cares? Not indicative of anything. You know what’s disconcerting? Our other num 3 pick who is shooting 31% in his specialty (3s) the last 20 games.
