Yes, Reed and Amen can be very good players - the fit is just poor.

I have been critical of the Rockets rebuild for awhile.

Alperen Şengün recently reposted a Jabari Smith Instagram post of the two players hugging.

In that same Jabari insta post, Jabari replied to a friend of his who wrote "the wise man said nothing at all" - Jabari replied "ya know"

 

I mean who are you taking in those drafts besides reed and amen? I get with reed it's castle or clingan but the amen draft?

 

I know I am in the minority, but I don't really care that much that he tweeted what he tweeted about his teammates. There is nothing that he said that isn't true and that hasn't been discussed internally in less harsh terms. If this was a veteran team, it wouldn't matter at all - but this team is young, and I do not know how they will handle it all.

As far as the genocide tech - yeah, was stupid to say for sure.

I hope that this sparks some of the younger players to grow up a little.

This team can be very fun if Sheppard is confident, KD is healthy and everyone is on the same page -- I just don't think they are in the same class long term as OKC or SA.

There is no way TF agrees to another gutting like the last one-- may have to just hope that guys surprise, maybe Sengun develops an outside shot or Thompson does... or Sheppard turns into a 28 point a game scorer on 20 shots a night.

 

Amen was a great pick and the second best player in his draft.

Sadly the best player is literally the most unique player I've ever seen play basketball.

 

Yea if Sengun or Amen learn to shoot its a completely different story.

I would 100% shop KD this summer though. They won't, but this isn't a tweet. It's a direct message to a bunch of the biggest losers on the internet. Its insanely low IQ behavior to interact with stans at all and he's doing it in group chats.

What he said is true (about Alperen's defense / shooting and Jabari's disappointment) but why should he be bad mouthing teammates to random absolute losers?

 

Sengun, for about 2 months, was a superstar, from EuroBasket to the first month of the season. Sheppard, for a stretch, was Curry-like, inconsistent at times, but still. If those two just get to that form...

Anyhow, Durant is the bitter medicine of "truth" that the fanbase agrees with but can't stand the taste of. Whether it helps them grow or blows the whole thing up... we'll see.

You guys really need to look at this from more of a business sense angle. You don't joke about it, your team mate got called a r****d ffs. If you joke, you make it look like you don't care, and the PR storm goes crazy. Same way if he starts denying it the confirmation bias would have said "well of course he'd ****ing say that, he's definitely guilty" absolutely nothing can be inferred from the basic ass way he answered beyond "he answered the perfect media training answer." Everything is is pure projection, it tells nothing either way.
