[HBO Series] A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (GOT Prequel Series)

I'm loving it. true to the tone of GRRM and comfort viewing for people immersed in the universe. Episodes are shorter and intimate.

The reason house of dragons was forgettable and hard to watch wasn't just the many miscastings like Queen Rhaenyra as an adult, and giving out director roles based on gender.

It was ryan condal , a talentless hack , forcing miguel sapochnik, the creative vision from GoT off the show. He also broke ties with GRRM. House of Dragon had so much to work with but threw it away to completely be forgettable and even unwatchable after season 2, ep 2. Whoever at HBO allowed Sapochnik and GRRM to be forced out by condal needs to be castrated --- then fired.

But....but....the army of the dead that shambled across 7.5 seasons, destroyed in one fell blow from Arya (and in one hard-to-see episode).
But....but....now stepping up for the javelin throw, representing The Lands of Always Winter, THE NIGHT KING! (On deck, Lamar for Lambda Lambda Lambda and Omega Mu.)





But....but....Bran the Broken! (If Tyrion had said that to me, I would have responded, "Look, midget, you can drop 'the Broken'."

How can we possibly criticize the author for going Hollywood and not giving a f*** about his own fantasy series? Why bother?

man, i had no expectations for this show. it's pretty great.

 

Same, I wasn't planning to watch it at all but I heard good things so I gave it a chance.

It's one of the best shows in years. It's a shame it's only going to be 6 episodes.

 

That is what you would call a MEDIEVAL FIGHTING SCENE.

 

Episodes 4 and 5 have been EPIC.

Breath of fresh air.... Kinda glad they kept it to 6 episodes and leave it like the original novella.

 

They should animate Aegon's conquest.

 

The actor playing Maekar is the same guy who played Ole Munch in the last leason of Fargo - Sam Spruell.



I never would have connected the two if I hadn't watched some interview stuff. A bunch of it is probably just makeup, but thr actor does a great job of playing someone very different.

 

Do you think George RR watched Bonanza when he was young and partly based Dunk on Hoss Cartwright?

 

I don't see it...

 

Is George R. R. Martin heavily involved in this show? Is he not finishing writing the main books. He is in his late 70's. -_-
