Going by his behavior at the ASG and the fact that he hasn't already come out and refuted this, it's looking pretty likely to be legit at this point

What behaviour at the ASG exactly? I watched every second of all-star weekend, and nothing suggested anything was out of the ordinary (excepting, perhaps your own projection on to what you were watching, of course.)

I'm the complete polar opposite, every hour people on here convince themselves deeper based on some really inconsequential messages with a tenuous link at best, the more I'm convinced this is a really weird dream and you can't all possible be that self-delusional. Nah that's a stretch though, because the smart thing to do as a professional athlete is to no-sell it as ridiculous. If he addresses it all of y'all are gonna call him a liar and use your confirmation bias to show that proves he definitely did it. So there's no win that way at all. The win comes when nothing happens and you all look foolish, not addressing it and giving credence to some wafer thin made up AI bullshit. If he was stupid or brazen enough to bash pretty much every teammate he ever had privately in group chats, it would have surfaced long before now, and teams wouldn’t keep lining up to trade tons of assets for him. Also, he praises his Rockets’ teammates in nearly every post-game interview. In the text talking about Jabari Smith Jr and shooting a technical free throw, Durant and Jabari were actually both on the court, and Jabari shot the technical free throw.

If this had legs, Adam Silver would have been forced to comment, and it would have been a lead story on every major sports network this morning.

Finally, with Artificial Intelligence so prominent in society, it’s incredibly easy to fake stuff and defame someone’s reputation. People can create books, music and art entirely through AI and pass it off as their own creation. It’s not hard to see someone doing so with a social media chat history, either.

 

Start by heavily regulating the use of Artificial Intelligence technology. If not, the line between truth and fiction is only going to get more blurred as time goes by.
