Alperen Sengun is the Rockets' franchise player

It's not about JoeStarJokic48. It's not one random account firing off a take into the void. That would be the easy dismissal.

It's the thousands upon thousands hitting like, joining the painfully real and unbearably loud dialogue.

It's the quiet shift from fringe opinion to common knowledge, from denial to recognition. That's when you know something's changed. The cat isn't just out of the bag, it's halfway down the street and escaping at cheetah speed. Alperen Sengun has been exposed and people can't unsee it.

Stone missed the clean "sell high" window. Now the only question is whether he has the nerve to move him this summer before the floor eventually drops out entirely.

History has a long memory and it will not look kindly on the crowd that swore Alperen Sengun was the Houston Rockets franchise cornerstone.

the good news I suppose in this KD controversy is that at least getoffmydickerson acknowledges Alpi is the True Franchise Player™

 

He also acknowledges his turnovers. Actually he seems like a great guy. Great leader and role model.

 

KD was about to get a free hair transplant in Turkey this summer, but I think he will be banned from that country going forward.

What has happened to Sengun? He now has the lowest TS% out of all qualified 20 PPG scorers this season. He can't be this bad offensively while also regressing defensively from last season.

He is not wrong, Jokic is an all-time great, the next 4 are behind him by a large gap. Alperen, at 23 is just a fringe all-star with room to grown. Jokic is a 3x MVP, NBA champion, and future HOF. Sengun is in the top 5 conversation and has room to grow which is great, but not Jokic. Nobody else, even Embiid (his closest competition) or Wembayama (rising star with potential for either HOF greatness or the next Ralph Sampson), are in the conversation.
