    Pretty interesting. Random thoughts:

This is definitely going to devolve into D&D territory when the sad resident incels get ahold of it.

I think the article touches on part of it- everything is recorded and if these people are in the same social circle it can be disastrous.

Stopping after being rejected once is a quitter mentality; giving up altogether after being rejected several times with different women shows a weakness of resilience, which affects confidence, which causes more rejection, etc.

But I think the main issue is that men can pseudo-fulfil the biological imperative with the biggest p*rn library ever in their pocket.

Probably a cycle where when these women start feeling their own biological clock ticking they'll much less inclined to shut men down. The pandemic really ****ed Gen Z up.

Young guys always swing for the fences. Older men with game are happy with a bunt...and paradoxically that relaxed, blasé 'whatever' approach makes women want them more.

I thought about posting this in the D&D, but not for the same reason you gave. Can't really explain other than it just seems like it goes there.

Obviously the access to p*rn plays a role, it's like the article tries to avoid the topic. It really doesn't address the biological need for sex

I'm just glad I don't have to worry about dating anymore. Just seems exhausting.

    It's Fear.
Bill mentioned being rejected and having to take the embarrassing walk back to your friends
Well now. . . .it's not a walk. . . .it s viral tiktok video that will be there when you are Bill's age
Approaching women now is a mine field.
As the incels point out . . .rather accurately. . .. the Last 10 yrs has been nothing but
"leave us alone in public" or "don't approach us, we are busy"
A mistake in that realm is not LIFE CHANGING . .. hell in extreme cases could mean jail or prison
    So
    The kids are extra cautious.

[edited] Just look up endocrine disrupters and add even more complexity to this topic.

Have the Gen Z men changed more so than the Gen Z women?

I am a boomer, so WTF do I know ... but ... whenever I randomly talk to a Gen Z woman they do not seem that different than the women I used to date in my 20s.

They’re socially awkward, lazy, and have zero initiative on how to improve it beyond putting their phone down and getting off social media

I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a broken group of people

The ones after the Gen Alpha actually seem to be better adjusted

bill maher showing his boomer card. gen z aren't the socially awkward straight edgers they're made out to be. they do harder drugs and are more likely to risk unsafe sex than previous generations.

    Who knows?

Gen Z (born 1997–2012) is experiencing a significant "sex recession," with lower rates of premarital sex, fewer one-night stands, and more intentional, often delayed, sexual activity compared to previous generations. Data indicates 30% of high school students in 2021 reported having sex, down from 47% in 2011. Factors include prioritizing personal success, mental health, and friendship over sex.

Who knows what the real reasons are, noble or awkwardness but they definitely aren't having as much sex

Maybe some are socially awkward. Maybe even most. Some are ****ing brilliant, witty, and outgoing AF though.

What I notice is that some of the social norms seemed to have... eroded. They seem to be more self-centered overall and they're unafraid to hurt your feelings -- in other words, they're more sociopathic.

Maybe I've got it wrong and I'm just "intimidating" in their eyes. Or, and this is probably closer to the truth, they simply view me as a worthless old guy.

I have a younger cousin that was showing signs of being completely disconnected and at first we thought it was the typical genZ awkwardness and lack of social acumen manifesting.

Lately many of us have tried to provide constructive criticism and it has been met with the most sensitivity I have seen in some time, “you guys are all evil etc”

It sucks because they just tune out completely and live in their online echo chamber. Have no concept on personal connections, finances or that jobs aren’t latte sipping adventures people don’t enjoy 8-5 everyday. The other day she was complaining about her boss telling her what to do and being upset when she didn’t follow directions.

“my boss is such a b****!”

What scares me is, what happens when I'm old and in a nursing home and I've got people that have grown up watching Al Qaeda cut people's heads off and **** just for fun looking after me?!

And then, like @B-Bob said, endocrine disruptors, pollution, etc...

My ten year old has crazy aura. He speaker talks 3 friends playing roblox, has a girl texting him at night, and is able to detach from the games at any point and hang out with us.
