First, I wasn't really an Oilers fan as a kid (49ers - Ronnie Lott)

Second, as long as the Thumbtacks put this out into the world, they will not be winning at anything (I am a firm believer in karma). This is just trying to troll the Htown community. It should be laughable at this point, but it's just pathetic and sad.

That’s ok. Houston identifies more with “Patriots Blue”.

Went from Flaming Thumbtacks to Thumbtacks. Maybe a little Tesla vibes. Tesla Titans.

Could use some tweaks but instantly a top 5 uni.

They are the most “little brother” franchise in sports. Such petty a-holes.

Just cannot forge their own identity so they need to retreat into being the Tit-Oilers.

This whole thing is bizarre. Fans of other teams don’t get the angst. I’d say it’s akin to the Ravens rolling out orange into their new color scheme and then whining at the Browns for being too close. Yes, Texans scenario <> Browns scenario, but it is logically in the same ballpark. “We changed and have a new identity, but we appropriated from our source city and they cannot use the color we appropriated.”

 

I love that the Texans/Rox/Coogs have started using a version of that color scheme as alt uniforms
