With a name like close4life, SEEING talent doesn't seem like your strong suit Projection? Naw, I just don’t think a man should follow another man like that, unless he's INFATUATED.
Hey, you brought up homesexuality. Literal definition of projection. Don't worry bud, we're in 2026, you can come out if you want lol
All anyone needs to understand is that he’s capable of being an above average defender. He’s capable of becoming an above average shooter. And he’s 23 yrs old. There are many things Sengun does that upset me greatly, but u don’t trade a guy as good as he is at 23. I wouldn’t trust Stone to pull off a Sengun trade successfully anyway.
I wasn't entirely clear but I didn't mean he won't improve at all. I know he will improve, but I've seen enough stagnation in the shooting specifically that I don't ever expect him to add that. I'd be surprised if he did. But I didn't mean to suggest he's already a finished product, like you said, players hit their prime at 27-32. I would be completely shocked if he's ever able to confidently knock down jump shots from any range though, at any point of his career. But he will get better.
To question whether he will get to be a perennial all-star type of player is fine. What's dumb is claiming that he is what he is, that at 23 you will never get better and that he hasn't majorly flashed potential. Even in the recent loss he still produced, even if it was a down game for him, still delivering 16 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 blocks. Sure, that's below his normal all-star production and he has a ways to go, but goodness gracious, they are acting like he is delivering DFS numbers. The hatred doesn't make sense for a full homegrown Rockets product with still loads of potential ahead of him.
Like you are deflecting about being called out on your absolutely horrendous evaluations of players by bringing up homosexuality? Yeah, "OK DT" lol
The whispers are getting louder. The word is out there and viral. People have caught on about one Alperen Sengun.
Two years ago you guys were getting cortisol spikes when someone said that Alpi is better than Paolo, now you are saying he is as bad as Paolo. Also: >"whispers are getting louder" >Quotes X account called "JoestarJokic"
Like I said, its highly unusual for a man to follow another man for that long...DON'T YOU THINK? Those comments were 3-4 yrs old!! Personally, I can't recall what anyone on this form said 3-4 days ago, because no one on this form peaks my interest to that magnitude. We're just men talking sports or so I thought. Yet @AlprenSengun recalls what I said 3-4 yrs ago.....THAT'S EITHER STRANGE OR INFATUATION. Futhermore, I responded to a post by @AlprenSengun then you started coming to his rescue....WHICH IS ANOTHER SIGN! A man having to take up for another man. @AlperenSengun likes your post, you and @rocketstruther likes his.....ALL THE SIGNS ARE THERE.
@AlperenSengun has Alpi's name as his Avatar, I bet he's wearing a pair of underwear right now with Alpi on them, at least I hope they're underwearand not panties.
If you ever thought Jokic was not worth building around, a 3x MVP, an NBA champion was not worth building around yet somehow thought Wood was a player that could help win a championship, I don't know...sometime in the last 5 years, that is worth holding over your head the rest of your life lol. And just to throw in you thought KPJ was good too. My goodness. No wonder you deflect with homosexual inuendo, because your basketball knowledge is extremely suspect LOL. I'm very glad you are not on board with Sengun, that's just a great sign, because you just went full...
Hollins needs to remember that he was a low minute journeyman for a reason. Perplexity's analysis of Sengun's defense vs Hollins': Alperen Şengün grades out as a clearly stronger advanced defender than Ryan Hollins, especially in defensive playmaking, rebounding impact, and rim-impact metrics, despite still being an imperfect anchor. Key advanced defensive metrics Alperen Şengün (recent seasons) From CraftedNBA’s multi-season defensive profile (he’s classified as a rim protector big): Defensive rebounding impact (DRB: 1.1, 93rd percentile among bigs). Rim Defense: opponent efficiency at the rim about 4.7 points per 100 attempts worse than expected when he’s the primary defender (Rim Defense: -4.7, 77th percentile; more negative is better in this metric). Rim Frequency: 44.5% (92nd percentile), meaning teams still test him at the rim at a high rate but he holds up reasonably well by impact. Block rate (BLKpct: 2.3, 70th percentile), solid but not elite for a center. Deflections: 2.7 per 100 possessions, 66th percentile, reflecting decent hands and activity in passing lanes for a big. Overall defensive impact metric (CraftedDPM): +1.3, 84th percentile league-wide, which places him comfortably in “good starting defensive big” territory by this model. In plain terms, advanced metrics see Şengün as: Strong on the defensive glass. Respectable to good as a rim defender by on/off and shot-impact measures. Fairly active generating events (deflections, blocks, steals) for a center. Ryan Hollins (career profile) Ryan Hollins played as a low-usage backup rim-running center whose value came more from traditional tools (size, verticality, simple schemes) than impact advanced metrics. Public composite models (RAPM/RAPTOR-type numbers and DPM-style summaries listed in career retrospectives) consistently show him as: Slightly below-neutral to mildly negative in overall defensive impact over his career, rather than a clear plus defender. Defensive on/off and impact metrics generally closer to break-even, with no extended stretch where he grades as a high-percentile rim protector or playmaker in the way top modern impact metrics flag elite defensive bigs. Defensive box-score components (blocks, defensive rebounds, steals) at modest per-minute levels for a center, which limits his value in box-based “DBPM”-type stats, even when his role was defense-first. So while Hollins had the reputation of a defensive role player, impact models and composite “all-in-one” stats do not rate him as a high-level advanced defensive contributor.
