The only things I said about Conley are that he is washed and shooting 32% from the field and 3. The first one is a general statement and the second is his shooting percentages for the year. Posting only those 2 things is not me saying, or even implying, that Conley only has negatives.

You are making it out to be a situation where we had some detailed long back and forth when that's far from the truth. It should go without saying that an 18 year old vet like Conley brings positives to a team with all his experience. But I guess you needed to hear it.

Homie, the positives can't "go without saying" when someone is describing net negatives. Can you calculate net profit without mentioning revenue? Does the revenue "go without saying"? There's no difference between how you analyzed it and someone who opens a stats page and picks out the 2 most negative things there.

By far a better floor general than anyone on our roster. Not a worse defender than our 2nd best guard (Sheppard) and our backup PG (Holiday). Makes open 3's better than Amen. See: if I only said these things and no negatives were mentioned, then I'd be guilty of it too.

We're both frustrated with the team man, let's leave it at that.

It's not about calculating, it's about stating. If someone says a company is failing and is operating at a loss they are talking about net negatives. That statement doesn't mean the company has no revenue or zero positive aspects.

Just watched the second half and I just wanna give some flowers to everyone who wanted Alvarado and say f*ck you to everyone who said he wouldn't move the needle for a team who's energy has been down since losing Brooks and has both its PG's learning the PG position.

Always with the "oh but will we beat the THUNDER if we get him???" lol what a stupid way to think about things.

Basketball is a system. A vulnerability or node in the system can have domino effects in terms of opportunities, mentality and confidence. Every season we see teams acquiring or losing a role player that has disproportionate effects on a team. It's so common. No team in the NBA lacked a PG more than us. Literally none. Our two PG's are both learning the position. Alvarado is no master floor general, but he would have been our best one at this moment in time. That would have resulted in incredible on/off numbers for him.

The DUMB thing about our team is we have that type of guy on the roster (FVV) but instead of understanding the nature of his impact, they ended up deciding "OMG HE MUST BE THE MOST VALUABLE PLAYER ON THE TEAM". Alvarado would have been overvalued here too even if not as much as FVV.

F*cking idiots this front office. Oh and please don't sit here and tell me we couldn't possibly beat an offer of a waivable contract and 2 2nd round picks. We're one of the most asset-rich teams in the NBA and have one of the highest net ratings in the league. We can afford it, we can recoup value for him later and it is the right time. We'd have his bird rights. You extend him this summer and then at worst trade him for 2 2nd round picks so you barely lost anything.

I don't think people understand how much damage is being cause through their insane belief that FVV can be the most valuable player on a 2nd seed in the West. It's impacting every comparative decision obviously.
