    I think reasonable people can disagree on trade policies, including tariffs. Imposing a tariff on another nation is usually done to protect one's own people and industries. Some nations subsidize their industries to outperform American companies. Is that really "free market" competition? No, it's not. Anyway, under fascism, communism, and socialism there is no such thing as a "free market" because government bureaucrats determine market conditions rather than the market.

    From Google AI;
    President Trump has heavily utilized tariffs, often citing the need to counter foreign subsidies, dumping, and unfair trade practices that he argues hurt American industries and workers. His administration's strategy, particularly in its second term beginning in 2025, has focused on implementing "reciprocal" tariffs and using Section 232 or 301 investigations to protect domestic manufacturers from competition deemed unfair.

    How so? Antifa claims to oppose fascism while simultaneously infringing on the rights of other citizens, including setting up roadblocks and demanding to know about the identity of vehicle occupants. That seems hypocritical to me and I believe the artist nailed it.

    The American left absolutely supports open borders, unlimited immigration, government welfare for all who come, allowing ANYONE to enter regardless of how criminally and violently insane they are.

    The American left turns a blind-eye to monolithic government fraud as well as monolithic fraud committed by immigrants.

    The American left is silent as innumerable Americans are raped, strangled, murdered, and slaughtered on American roads by ILLEGALS.

    With all that said, I have also been critical of Trump and Republicans, but it's true that most of my content is directed at leftist malfeasance because the overwhelming majority of said malfeasance emanates from the left.

    Thats not the picture I replied to

    I have an idea of what tariffs are and why countries utilize them, roughly, and I also have an idea of what subsidies are.

    You state that you think tariffs are not conducive to free market competition. This admin is using tariffs at rates that we haven’t seen since before WW2.

    Tariffs are virtually antithetical to the American right espoused idea of a “free” market economy. From my understanding, and all. I don’t think Milton Friedman was a fan.

    Personally, I don’t appose strategically placed tariffs, but that’s the other thing, we are doing a lot of broad non specific country wide tariffs, many seemingly at the whim of Trumps emotions and disputes, as an international tool of political power and coercion rather than an economic game plan.

    The point is, on the fascism topic, your argument that the American right is too free of a market to fall under such an ideological label might not hold up to this administrations actions and desires.

    Funny enough ATW would also at random quote AI text to me. Dejavú man

    The American left also thinks the overwhelming majority of malfeasance comes from the right, based on assuming the absolute worst of the worst on every individual associated with the group. Go figure, what’s next?
