It seems that almost every time they have a double digit lead, they give it up. It's so predictable at this point.

no offensive gameplan, don't capitalize on transition points, too much iso scoring, terrible 3pt defense

    in no specific order

No point guard, our outside shooting isn't that good and we have a tendency to start bricking free throws at random times.

We dont have another guard outside of Amen who can score 15-20pt consistently. I’d ask for 10-15pts but Reed can’t even do that on a nightly basis. None of our guards besides Amen can penetrate so it’s just PG Durant

Our offense is terrible. Amen and Reed could have a clear runway to the basket but will hesitate and stop to pass to a guarded KD at the top of the key

Well, we seldom beat shi**y teams. So, yeah, we give up big leads.
The sharp focus isn't there, and I get a sense that this "coaching" staff doesn't address such issues with the team: "Don't look at their record. That gets us into trouble. Pretend they're the Thunder. Effort and hustle, 48 minutes." Whatever. Just not often there.

Doesn't help their main guys play so many minutes with such holes in the roster.

Ime Udoka an overrated, terrible coach.Let's take this game as an example. He drew up an attack through Şengün, who couldn't make a good free throw. Beyond comedy.

Everytime we get up double digits we give up an open 3 or foul a shooter … it creates 6-8pt runs in like 1-2 minutes for opposing teams

It's because our gameplan is fundamentally handicapping our scoring potential. We're playing old school grit and grind ball, we don't shoot from distance and all of our best players shoot more 2's than 3's. We HAVE to have overwhelming defense or rebounding or any modern team can easily beat us because they all stretch the floor and shoot tons of 3's. If our current squad played the Harden Rockets we'd get beat 160-85, all we'd need to do is switch Amen off Beard and he'd outscore our entire roster without KD who we'd just stack everyone not named Harden on.

It's almost like having a competent coach is a key ingredient for a great team.

And a PG, who would've known?! (Besides ****ing everybody who's ever played a game of basketball, obviously.)

The Rockets don't have plays in their back pocket that they can rely on to generate great looks. Especially if KD's not playing or isn't having a good game. They don't have reliable shooters. Their ability to get offensive rebounds is great, but you cannot rely on getting an offensive rebound on every possession. All their rotation players not named KD are below average in efficiency. They don't have good passing or ball handling so they're below average in turnovers. The offense is still very good regardless of those flaws, because the team is talented and KD is one of the best offensive players in the game. But it's not an offense you can count on night in and night out. Like with those Harden days where even if you hate how things look, you know those teams will score.

Because we don't have a pg and coach's only solution is isoing players.

It’s frustrating, but I think it’s common for many NBA teams. We notice it more with the Rockets because we watch all the games.

We have a terrible coach, no offensive sets and no pg. They really need to fire Ime
