I’ll bet the Bucks would prefer an offer centered on Sengun. They’re probably on the phone with the Rockets, pushing for one, but Stone and Co. want to see what this team can do in the playoffs first.
Rockets can definitely offer the best package. I’m actually hoping it’s the Warriors, they will be garbage once Curry retires, and before that they will likely have injuries and won’t win anyway.
Knicks Not Believed To Be In Aggressive Pursuit Ahead Of Trade Deadline Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, Terry Rozier, Young player(s) 2026 first-round pick swap 2029 first-round pick swap 2030 first-round pick 2031 first-round pick swap 2032 first-round pick They could also add another pick by trading Andrew Wiggins
This is in the same stratosphere as the Warriors' proposed offer. Problem is, I don't think Giannis fits the culture on either team. Not even remotely. Maybe at this point Kerr and Draymond Green are willing to adapt, toss their culture into the garbage can and figure things out on the fly.
Giannis Antetokounmpo could be turned off by joining an older team like the Golden State Warriors and facing the same criticism Kevin Durant did for playing in Stephen Curry’s shadow, per @JakeLFischer “League sources say that Golden State is aware of recent rumblings that Antetokounmpo can't be assumed to be as eager as he was once perceived to be to relocate to Stephen Curry's town and team. How credible are such rumblings? Presumably only Giannis knows for sure. Yet I have heard from sources briefed on the situation that some in the know suspect Antetokounmpo could be turned off by the idea of joining an older team and/or facing the sort of criticism that Kevin Durant continues to absorb to this day about teaming up with Curry.”
Of course it would be a chemistry experiment that might not work, but I definitely do NOT want Giannis joining Ant. Of all legitimate places Giannis can go, T-Wolves would be worst case. Any of the Warriors, Knicks and Heat would be better IMO.
Wolves are direct threat to the Rockets in the West. The Warriors do not have enough to contend without Jimmy Butler, even with Giannis.
Of course. I get it, now. I misunderstood his post. I thought he meant the Wolves would be the worst for Giannis. The Spurs and Thunder would be crappy for the Rockets, too. Giannis and Luka would be tough. Keep him in the East.
